Comilla Victorians skipper Imrul Kayes: Happy to register a win. Our batting was not up to the mark. But it was just the first game, hopefully, we'll get better as the tournament progresses. Nahidul Islam did really well, especially against the right-handers. Tanvir Islam also bowled well. We are a good batting side. It's just the beginning of the tournament. We will do well as we move forward.
Player of the Match Nahidul Islam: My strategy was to bowl wicket-to-wicket. While the track was a little slow in the beginning, it got better as the game progressed.
Sylhet Sunrisers skipper Mosaddek Hossain: Our bowlers were spot on. They showed how to do well on these wickets. We were 10-15 runs short. There are some areas for us to improve in.
None of the Comilla Victorians' batters looked comfortable in the middle. However, with a few double-digit scores throughout the innings, Imrul Kayes & Co. accumulated enough runs to get through and register a win. There was some terrific display of spin bowling by Mosaddek Hossain and Nazmul Islam in middle. But with just 96 on the board, it was always difficult for Sylhet Sunrisers to make a contest out of this game.
What a low-scoring thriller that was! Despite chasing a low total, Comilla Victorians messed it up several times during their innings to allow Sylhet Sunrisers to pounce on and get a grip on the game. Following a roller coaster ride, Comilla Victorians, at last, ended up on the winning side. Who would have thought we'd witness such a game with just 96 on the board? That was some crazy cricket!
