That is it from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Saptak Sanyal as we wrap up the coverage of this match. A note of thanks to our scorer, Zeeshan Naiyer as well.
Do stay tuned and join us for the match between Nellai Royal Kings and iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans which promises to be an exciting contest as well.
A pretty one-sided result in the end with the Chepauk Super Gillies going onto register their first win of the season. We did see a special knock from N Jagadeesan especially later on in the chase.
N Jagadeesan (Player of the Match & Chepauk Super Gillies Captain): "[Was it a pre-conceived plan to start bowling a lot slower into the surface] Not really. The way the wicket played, there was a bit of rain. We saw that the wicket was damp, so wanted to use spinners.

[How does it feel to become the first batter in TNPL to reach 2500 runs] Truth be told, I am not bothered about the runs I score. The game is not going in a way where you need to be the highest run-getter, It is about the impact you create. Apart from that, the wicket was slow and it was a bit tricky due to the showers earlier. I made it clear that I need to stay till the end. It is okay if I take time. I always fancy my chances to the balls that were bowled looser. Apart from that, I was clear with the plan that I was going to take it deep.

[Was there pressure being four-time champions and coming on the back of two losses?] Not at all. It is in the way we see it. If you are going to see it in a way it is going to pressurize us, that is how it will be. It is important to see the brand of cricket we are playing and the way we have been losing. You can always improve but pressure is something you need to take. Every game is going to be thrilling and there are going to be nerves but it is about how you approach and have a relationship with the pressure."
Player of the Match: Narayan Jagadeesan
Most Dependable Player of the Match: R Vimal Khumar
Batter with the Highest Strike Rate: Shivam Singh
Most Boundaries of the Match: Narayan Jagadeesan
Baba Indrajith (Dindigul Dragons Captain): "[Was it a strategy to have a lot of changes in the batting order] Apart from one position, it was the same. With just that one position of Karthik Saran, we tried to be fluid.

[Where did Chepauk Super Gillies outplay you?] Definitely in the Powerplay, we lost it with the bat. The wicket was a bit sticky, it was even more sticky when we batted but it is not an excuse. If we adapt and pushed it to 150-160, could have been a good game.

[How crucial was the toss?] It was crucial in these type of conditions but one team has to bat up front anyway.

[One take-away from this match?] There are a lot of areas to work on, we have a lot of young players. Only if we improve in all the areas, we can do well in this tournament. I am very confident we can turn it around."
07:08 PM IST & Local Time: What a scintillating knock of 90* (58) from the skipper, Narayan Jagadeesan as he takes Chepauk Super Gillies to a big seven-wicket win over the Dindigul Dragons with 22 balls to spare. A much-needed win for the Chepauk Super Gillies as they came into the contest with back-to-back losses.
