Dinesh Chandimal (Dambulla Sixers Captain): "[on the total] It was a tough wicket to bat on but still we managed to get 175 which was a competitive total. Our fielding's been below par throughout the tournament and that is costing us every game we are losing.

10:52 PM IST, Local Time | Colombo Kaps hold their nerve and Rathnayake finishes off the chase with a MAXIMUM! Colombo Kaps strengthen their position at the top of the table with a 4-wicket victory over Dambulla Sixers!
Dambulla Sixers won the toss and elected to bat first! After losing 3 early wickets and getting off to a wobbly start, the Sixers had Reeza Hendricks (80 off 54) and Gulbadin Naib (33 off 13) to thank as they scraped and crawled their way to a competitive total of 175/5 at the end of their 20 overs.
For Colombo, Shahnawaz Dahani picked up 2/41, while Mujeeb, Milan, and Maisha picked up a wicket each.
Come the chase, the Colombo batters strut out to the middle all guns blazing! Sadeera Samarawickrama got off to a good start but his knock at the top was cut short by Ramesh Mendis after scoring 26 runs. Rubin Hermann took over the mantle and accelerated the scoring in the middle phase but fell 2 runs short of his half-century as Dinusha caught a sharp chance off his own bowling.
At this stage, Kamindu Mendis (39) and Ben McDermott (33) stitched together a strong 50-run partnership for the third wicket, putting Colombo in the driver's seat in this chase. However, Chameera and Akila combined to turn the momentum once again. Both set batters fell in quick succession, and with the wickets of Liyanage (0) and Neesham (1), Dambulla had a ray of hope with 18 needed off the final 18 balls.
