Fortune Barishal skipper Shakib Al Hasan: I think we bowled brilliantly, but I believe we could've bowled better. Very happy with the way played this game. We can, however, still improve in certain areas. We bat deep, and we have good batters as well as bowlers. It's a good start to the tournament for us.
Chattogram Challengers skipper and MoM Mehidy Hasan: We lost too many wickets inside the powerplay. I believe we were 25 runs short. It was our first game, it can happen at the start of the tournament. Howell played well. Our bowlers bowled well. However, they couldn't take enough wickets. The wicket was spinning a bit, but our bowlers bowled too many back of a length deliveries. The opposition are a side too good to miss out on those.
Chattogram Challengers, on the other hand, would want to come up with a better batting performance in their upcoming games. They may also want to try Howell up the order for some quick runs in the middle or even at the start of the innings!
BPL, slow and low pitches, and low-scoring games! The saga continues. Anyway, Fortune Barishal commence their campaign with a win over Chattogram Challengers. No matter how deep the game went in the second innings, 125 were never enough to make a game out of this for Chattogram Challengers. A knock of 39 at the top by Shykat Ali, followed by several small contributions from the middle order made sure Fortune Barishal achieved the target despite losing wickets at regular intervals.
