For now, that's all we have for you. This is Ajay Pal Singh, signing off on behalf of our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. A special mention to Abhishek Sharma for helping us out as we bring our coverage to a close. Goodbye.
It ended up being a one-sided final, but plenty of young talent has been unearthed in this third season of the Delhi Premier League. Divansh Rawat with the ball and Anmol Sharma with the bat are among the names who will now be on the radar of IPL teams.
Twice in two years, Central Delhi Kings faltered at the final hurdle and ended up as runners-up. South Delhi Superstarz were brilliant on the day and, after missing out in the inaugural season, went one step further this time to finally lift the trophy. Three seasons, three different winners in the Delhi Premier League.

Tejasvi Dahiya (South Delhi Superstarz Captain): "(About changing the momentum after not so great start to the season and ultimately becoming the champions) Definitely, ma’am. My co-owner and the entire team have contributed—it has been a combined effort. When the tournament started, things weren’t going that well. We had a few back-to-back losses, but the way our management supported us, they were never furious about the fact that we were losing matches. They were very confident that the players we had picked at the auction were match-winners and that they would eventually win matches for us. And we proved that. So, I would give the credit to the entire team, the management, and the owners.

(Did the team miss Ayush Badoni and Sanat Sangwan) I think the players in our team were all match-winners, and everyone had already proved it. Different players had won matches for us at different stages of the tournament. So, we told ourselves that we wouldn’t miss the contribution that those players used to make. We would do it ourselves, take responsibility, and win matches for the team. And we definitely didn’t miss them.

(Did Shikhar Dhawan give you any words of wisdom before the final?) Definitely, ma’am. Shikhar Bhaiya used to guide us before every match, both through video calls and whenever he met us in person. He would keep notes on every match—both the mistakes we made and the positives we took from the games—so that we could avoid repeating those mistakes in the next match. Even before today’s match, we had a video call with him and all the coaches. I also spoke to him personally, and the tips he gave us were very useful today.

(Have you planned any winning celebrations) Ma’am, you’ll find that out gradually!"

Jonty Sidhu (Central Delhi Kings Captain): "[You were the team to beat, thoughts on season] Yeah, we have been dominating for the last two seasons. Last year, we topped the table and we did that this year as well. Expectations were there that we will lift the trophy but didn't happen.

[On his personal performance] Yeah, I think I did well. I contributed for the team and we reached yet another final.

[On his century in the last game] I know I can do better than this and I can perform better than this."

Anmol Sharma (MVP): "(On his feelings at the moment) Ma’am, it feels really good. This is my second season with the team, and everyone—the entire support staff and all my teammates—believes in each other and backs one another. Their support is what made this possible.

(What makes Anmol Sharma a standout player) Ma’am, nothing too complicated. I just try to assess the role I’ve been given by the team and the situation we’re in, and play accordingly. I think about my personal game and my strengths—what shots I can play and which areas I can score more runs in—and I keep those things in mind while batting.

(Plans about the celebrations tonight) Ma’am, Shikhar Bhaiya is also here, so he’ll probably tell you what the plan is."
MVP of the Season: Anmol Sharma
