That marks the end of our live coverage from the first game of DPL 2026 between Central Delhi Kings and Purani Dilli-6. Over 400 runs have been scored in the very first match and we have seen both the skippers to step up for their respective teams. But CDK held their nerves and eventually got over the line.

(When you saw 202 on the board, what did you think?) The plan was simple. The bowlers may have had a bad day but it us our batters responsibility to cover it up. Someday, the reverse will also happen. The plan was to play basic cricket and we had the confidence.
(Over 400 runs have been scored in the first game)Yes sir it was important to win the toss. The bounce was good but Anuj Rawat batted well and formed a good partnership with Dev Lakra. We wanted to restrict them to 200 and then we have Vansh Bedi, Bhandari and Joon. They contributed small but all of those became impactful for us.
(Any area you want to improve?) We want to focus on fielding. If we can stop giving those 10-15 runs extra, these 200s will be 180s. So that will make things easier."
