2:17 PM IST | An all-around display of performance by the Canterbury👏👏 as they thumped Northern Brave by 9 wickets with 10 balls to spare in the revised game. Bowes and Carter single-handedly take their team to the target and win the inaugural game by 9 wickets.
Northern Brave scored 96 runs in 14 overs for the loss of five wickets after being invited to bat first in the first innings. Joe Carter and Brett Hampton were the top scorers for the Brave. In the end, Hampton and Santnar stitched a partnership of 33 runs and helped their side score a respectable total of 96 runs. Henry Shipley and Ed Nuttall all shared a couple of wickets each for the Canterbury.

In response to 97 runs, the Kings got off to a poor start as their opener Boyle departed on just 12. Leo Carter joined Chad Bowes in the middle, both forged a partnership of 76 runs off 57 balls for the second wicket. Both Bowes and Carter are playing unbeaten innings of 57* and 27* and took their team to the target.
On the flip side, Tim Pringle was the only bowler to extract a wicket as he scalped one wicket giving away 13 runs in 3 overs.

6 SIX!!! Bowes finishes off in style!!! A tad fuller ball on the off stump and Bowes bends on one knee and lofts it over the bowler as the ball sails over the rope for a maximum. Canterbury thumped the Northern Brave by 9 wickets in the inaugural game of the super smash 2022-23.
