So that marks the end of our coverage from the Super Smash game between Central Stags and Canterbury where Canterbury got a victory by 33 runs in the DLS method.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal, signing off on the behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. Stay tuned to our network for the coverage of more games across the globe. CHEERS!
Cole McConchie (Canterbury Captain): "Yeah, I think anytime you come here, you know, the Stags are a quality outfit, play really well here at home and so a pleasing performance to come away with the points.  I think learned from the Stags boys. I think the way they bowled in that first ten, was really challenging and got a bit out of the surface so we just tried to replicate a little bit how they were bowling and I thought the boys did that fantastic."
Tom Bruce(Central Stags Captain)- "Look I was very much impressed with the way we bowled in the first 10 overs but things got changed and that's the nature of T20 cricket. Cole and Rippon batted really well. I thing our plans were good but they were way too good with the bat and done better than us.

For the firs 10-12 overs, our bowlers were brilliant but they got punished in the later overs. But we believe we can make a good comeback next game."
Cole McConchie (Player of the Match): "Yeah, it was. As I said at the halfway point, I probably didn't start the quickest, but nice to get a few out of the middle. And, yeah, it was great to put on a partnership there with Rippy, he was excellent today.

Stags bowled outstanding early on. Got a little bit of seam off the surface and some steep bounce. But as that ball got a little bit older, things, you know, sort it started to turn the batting way. So, always a pleasure to play here at  Pukekura Park, and nice to get a good score on the total."

12:01 IST and 19:31 Local Time | The Canterbury side has defeated the Central Stags side by 33 runs in the DLS method. They were absolutely top-notch throughout the game and are the deserving winner.

Coming to bat first, the Canterbury side lost their openers cheaply. Chad Bowes and Ken McClure departed for 2 and 16 respectively. But Henry Nicholls, the number 3 batter came and hit a few boundaries to recover the wicket loss. Nicholls scored 23 of 19 balls and just after his departure, Mitchell Hay got out for just 1. After that, Cole McConchie and Michael Rippon took the charge and continued to hit throughout the innings. McConchie scored 79 runs of 47 balls hitting 4 boundaries and 8 maximums. Rippon scored 58 runs off 33 balls hitting 5 boundaries and 3 maximums. Together they scored 132 runs in their unbeaten partnership.

For the Central Stags side, Bevan Small took 3 wickets but gave 47 runs away. Doug Bracewell also took a wicket.

Coming to chase the target, the Central Stags were bit slow to start. They lost Will Young and skipper Tom Bruce for single digit scores. But Dane Cleaver and William Clark built a good partnership. Clark got out for 19 and Cleaver was joined by Josh Clarkson, who struggled in the crease but managed to score 26 runs off 22 balls. Cleaver was looking promising but he got out for 47 and then the game got out of the Stags' reach. At one stage, dark clouds were hovering above the ground and the play got delayed for 7 minutes due to bad light. The match was reduced to 19 overs and the target was set as 176 but the Stags' batters failed to reach the target and they lost the game by 33 runs in the DLS method.

For Canterbury, William ORourke, Zakary Foulkes and Michael Rae took a couple of wickets each and Michael Rippon and Angus McKenzie took a wicket each.

W CAUGHT! Full-length delivery outside off. Bevan makes room and looks to thump it over cover but fails to time it well as the ball balloons up in the air and the point fielder inside the ring makes no mistake, taking a good catch. Canterbury Kings win by 33 runs (DLS).
