We have a day off at the ETPL tomorrow before the competition returns on Tuesday with yet another double header. Amsterdam Flames will take on the Dublin Guardians at 3 PM IST (10:30 AM Local Time). That will be followed by Edinburgh Castle Rockers taking on Rotterdam Dockers at 6:45 PM IST (2:15 PM Local Time). Do tune in on time!
With this humongous win, the Belfast Wolves leap back into the top 3 and do their NRR a huge favour. They needed this and when it mattered most Glenn Maxwell and his boys delivered.
Well, for the Glasgow Cosmic, it has been an ordinary tournament, and it continues the same way. They simply did not step up with the bat or ball. After conceding a huge 188, they were nowhere in the picture with the bat. They would like to play for pride and end the tournament on a good note.

Glenn Maxwell (Belfast Wolves Captain): "[Was this the perfect game?] Yeah, it was a nice complete performance. I think after both captains being a little bit unsure of what they want to do at the toss because of it played in the morning and how much spin there was, to go out and bat the way we did in those conditions, adapt and find way to score in that, Lorcan Tucker again was brilliant and Mark Chapman belting at the end was outstanding. So, it got us to a total that we were really comfortable with and for the bowlers to start the way they did and get some big wickets early set us off in the right track.
[What are the plans for the batting group if they have to bat first?] I think our batting group actually did a pretty good job yesterday and just sort of carry that momentum and be able to assess and be a little bit more proactive as soon as we understand the wicket and what the needs were. The way Harry Manenti came out with a lot more intent today and got us off to a great start and I thought that was really impressive and allowed the rest of the order to come out at probably the right time and it set up our middle order beautifully and then to finish off the job.
[Will he bat at 4 going forward?] I think we are just flexible for the opponent we are playing against. There was an opportunity to maybe try and attack the spin through the middle and try and keep that bit of momentum. Chapman has been in great form, I wanted to make sure that we gave him the ideal scenario for him to go out and play freely and it ended up working out nicely. By the time I got out, he was out there and had around 8 overs to go about his work which ended up being perfect.
[A word on Lordan Tucker's return to form] I think the brilliant thing about Lorcan is that he hasn't changed his attitude. From the first game till now he has been a great leader around the group. He has kept his chin up and has continued to do the hard things at training and making sure he is ready for the game. For him to get the rewards over the last 2 games, the whole Wolves family are really behind him and really proud of how much work he has put in to get to this stage. He is a class act and he is really showing that at the momentum.
[On his captaincy going so well with field placements and the rest] It does not always work. Given the idea of the conditions from our batters and then be able to execute that with the ball and your bowlers need to bowl to those fields as well I think that is the hardest thing. All that sort of coming in together, we had a superb innings with the ball. Yeah, just very proud of that complete performance."

10:04 PM IST, 5:34 PM Local Time: Belfast Wolves win by 103 runs! This has been a top-notch bowling performance from the Wolves. After posting the second highest total of the competition so far, the bowlers bowled with freedom and ran through the Cosmic batting line up rather comfortably. They have registered the biggest win in the history of the tournament. With this win, they make a strong case for qualification into the playoffs.
Glasgow Cosmic won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Wolves lost Paul Stirling only for 3 before Harry Manenti (39) and Lorcan Tucker (50) added 73 runs for the second wicket. Mark Chapman cashed in on that start as he smoked the quickest 50 of the tournament before getting dismissed for 54 off 25. These valuable knocks pushed the Wolves to 187/8 in 20 overs. The pick of the bowlers for the Cosmic were Liam Livingstone (3/27), Paul van Meekeren (2/44) and Ali Khan (2/39).
The chase required a few good partnerships and that is exactly what the Cosmic failed to get. Jason Roy (2 off 6) and Finn Allen (6 off 5) failed to set the tone early on as the Cosmic were down to 19/2 inside 3 overs. Moises Henriques along with George Munsey added 23 for the third wicket before the spinners triggered a terrible collapse. From 43/2, the Cosmic slipped to 61/7. Moises Henriques (31 off 25), George Munsey (10 off 12), Liam Livingstone (1 off 3), James Neesham (1 off 2) and Richie Berrington (3 off 8) were part of that collapse. Nothing promising followed as the Cosmic got bowled out for 84 eventually with Oliver Davidson not coming out because of an injury. The pick of the bowlers for the Wolves was Matthew Humphreys with his 4/19. Mark Adair (1/14), Chris Jordan (1/8), Glenn Maxwell (1/10) and Gavin Hoey (1/16) were also amongst the wickets.
