That marks the end of our coverage from this game. Trinbago Knight Riders have got a dominating victory over Barbados Tridents by a huge margin of 7 wickets and 31 balls. Sunil Narine remained the cornerstone of the victory, taking two wickets with the ball in hand and a brilliant 55 off 31 with bat in the next innings. This victory will boost their morale ahead of their next game. Barbados Tridents will look to rebuild once again, recovering from the back-to-back defeats they suffered.
Nicholas Pooran (Trinbago Knight Riders Captain): "(Your initial thoughts on the win) Brilliant. Coming into this game and we asked for complete team effort. The guys stepped up today and executed.
(All spin attack on the powerplay) It was as per match-up. They had a left hander in the powerplay and I tried to use Jyd (Goolie) there. They had a few left handers in top five or six, so we thought it is a good day to use Jyd. The way he bowled was very well. He exceptionally complemented Sunil and Akeal. It is brilliant to see a couple of new faces. It is a new competition and it is not going to be easy. We understand that.
(The rationale behind Narine moving to the top has worked) He is having a tremendous year with both bat and ball. We are lucky to have him, he is very consistent for this franchise. Every game, every year. We are happy that he is batting. We decided to promote and glad to see him taking the opportunity. He gave us the start we needed. We are really happy for him.
(On the stands being named at the Queen's Park Oval on Pollard alongside Narine and Bravo) They are obviously my mentors as well, bigger brothers to me. For me, he (Pollard) is the greatest T20 batter. He has been very consistent and the way he did to break the record, I am very happy for him. I am happy for everything he has achieved. I saw the sacrifice and the discipline and love for the game. Just really happy personally for him and his family. It's tough work and I am happy for him.
(A message for the fans in Trinidad) We love them honestly. We look forward to come here in Trinidad to play and see the smile on their faces. When we talk about them, they are committers, when we lose they get hurt, when we win, they feel happy. We are happy to get the best fans in the Caribbean to come day in and day out to support us. Chris Green (Barbados Tridents Captain): "[On his finger] Oh, it's okay. It kind of got on the edge, but jammed it in there and luckily it was okay.
[Thoughts on the game] Look, it was a disappointing score to post. That wicket was tough. Toss is obviously huge here in Trinidad, losing it didn't help. They've got some high-class spinners in Narine and Tariq. They proved impossible. To me, we probably just lacked a little bit of a plan to manipulate the strike. As a spinner myself, it's a lot easier when the batters are settling in, looking to just pat you back, and I felt we were a little bit tentative at times with that, and then it was trying to swing out. So we lacked a little bit of a plan against really, really good bowling, and if we could have scraped to 140, 150 perhaps we could have done a bit better, and then, you know, it was a disappointing effort in the field and a little bit with the ball at times, but it wasn't enough runs on the board.
[On sending Rivaldo Clarke so down the order] That's a question for management. I was batting, obviously, in a time where he was going to go in. I think the decision to send Kevlon was that he swept well and reverse swept well in the last game and potentially had a little bit more power, and then Rivaldo, I thought the way he came in at the back end, still trusted his skills to get us up to that high 120 score. I was really proud of him.
[On introducing Gudakesh Motie so late in the attack] Well, look, any time it's tough to defend 127. I tried to chop and change as much as possible. We tried to bowl a lot of spin, use our front-line bowlers as much as possible. We needed to take wickets, so in a game like that defending 127, you have to take risk and be a little bit aggressive, go a little bit left of center at times, bowling Rivaldo Clark with his off-spin. You know, you've got to take wickets, but full credit to Sunil Narine and Colin Munro. They killed the back of that early and made our jobs really difficult."

8:37 AM IST and 11:07 PM Local Time: Trinbago Knight Riders have bounced back after a hat-trick of defeats. They have got a thumping victory by 7 wickets and with 31 balls remaining over the Barbados Tridents, who have lost two back-to-back games including this. The tweakers did the trick in the first innings and Sunil Narine set the stage with the bat for TKR. Kieron Pollard, who is playing his 750th T20 match, has scored the winning runs and how fitting is this!
Nicholas Pooran, the TKR skipper won an important toss and sent the Tridents to bat first. He introduced his spinners early in the innings and bowled 15 overs with the tweakers only. Sunil Narine troubled both Shian Brathwaite and Zachary Carter and accounted for the former in the fifth over. Carter and Quinton de Kock struggled for 23 balls to score 13 in their opening stand before QDK found Usman Tariq off Jyd Goolow. Kevlon Anderson (6) was dismissed for cheap scores. Carter did well to hit 3 sixes, but his inability to rotate the strike haunted him as he could score only 28 off 27 balls.
However, Barbados Tridents skipper Chris Green was not willing to give up. He hit a boundary and two sixes in his 17-ball stay to score 27. His cameo proved to be impactful alongside Rivaldo Clarke (15* off 7 balls), and they took the score to 127/9 at the end of the 20 overs. They did well to add 23 runs for the final two overs, but still they were 20-25 runs short of the par score.
