Arjun: So, this was it from us. We loved it providing you all the ball by ball commentary of this BBL game. Tata from me, Arjun Bhalla and my colleague Akshay Bhide. Do join us tomorrow for another cracking day of cricket. Bye-bye.
Lewis Gregory: It was nice to get a win with the boys. I only got over quarantine a few days ago. It's nice to be able to contribute as much as I can. We made it slightly hard work but we got over the line and it's nice to build momentum. It's nice to play in front of a crowd again. It's been six or seven months since I've been able to do that. So it's a nice atmosphere.
Lewis Gregory was named the man of the match for his 3-22 in four overs.
Arjun: Then came James Bazley to the middle as a savior for the Heat unit. He alongside skipper Jimmy Peirson helped his side to get out of their own dig hole. The duo shared a stand of 50 runs for the eighth wicket and clinched the first win for the Brisbane Heat here at Gabba.
Arjun: Heazlett was removed by Nathan Ellis in the seventh over and then the game turned on its head for the bowling side. From 73-0, the Heat was reduced to 102-6 in just 35 balls. D'Arcy Short turned to be the golden arm in that play for his side as he scalped three wickets in three overs. Short was assisted by Riley Meredith who got two breakthroughs.
Arjun: The Heat openers took the attack from the first ball itself. They scored 73 runs in the first six overs and both openers, Sam Heazlett and Max Bryant were taking on all the Hurricanes' bowlers by smacking boundaries all around.
Arjun: The roller-coaster clash between the Hurricanes and the Heat comes to the end. The Hurricanes could not score big in their batting innings and 148 runs was never a tough target to defend but the team made a really fantastic comeback in the second half of the game.
Akshay: That's it. Heat register their first win of this edition.
