So that marks the end of our coverage from this high scoring game of CPL 2024 between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Barbados Royals. For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my colleagues Anirudh Modi, Ajay Pal Singh and Ashok Dayma. Have a good day!

Andre Russell- 523
David Miller- 500
Imran Tahir(Guyana Amazon Warriors Captain): "Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Azam everyody played well. We had a great start. Everybody chipped in with the ball and it's a definitely good game to win.

Batters obviously did the hardwork. But Moeen bowled really well. There was a concern to bowl with the wet ball but Moeen, Motie and Junior Sinclair did well.

Yes it was a new pitch. But our batters played well. Hope, Hetmyer did well. They had a tough journey in the first half of the tournament but we all new what they can do.

Yes, David Miller did a really good job, congratulations to him for his 500th T20 Match. He was hitting it hard but he got the advantage as the ball was wet, Otherwise I would have bowled more to him keeping the match-up in mind. But that takes nothing away from him, He has played really well.

Yes, Shamar Joseph has got some seasonal flu and hopefully he will be back soon or from the next game."
Rovman Powell (Barbados Royals Captain): "I think credit to Guyana, they totally outplayed us today. Yeah to play 500 games, you have to be doing something right (on David Miller's knock in his 500th T20 game). He has been a great player for South Africa and to see him getting form just before the knockouts is good for us.

This is just an opportunity for us to fine tune. Winning does help to build momentum but a few loses won't bring our confidence down."
Shai Hope (Player of the Match): "I will say, I had a different plan coming out to bat. Just different buzz today. It is a big difference. Just trying to be up for the challenge. Intent and understanding in your game is required (on facing left-arm spin).

I think they go hand in hand (skill and power hitting), to be the best you have to be ready. To be at your best, you have to ensure you are mentally strong and on point skill-wise. Very important to keep that mental side of the things strong and then you keep ticking boxes with your skill.  Really tough batting conditions here.

One thing I say is that we bat well in tandem (on his partnership with Shimron Hetmyer). Makes my job easier, we know when to attack and when to not. As long as we keep doing that, we could go all the way."

08:27 IST and 23:27 Local Time | Guyana Amazon Warriors have put up a dominant display to fell the Barbados Royals flat in this game. David Miller's 71-run knock reduced the margin of deficit but still they managed to win it by 47 runs.

Coming to bat first in this game after losing the toss, Guyana Amazon Warriors lost their opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz for just 7. But Azam Khan and Shai Hope continued their dominance. They together helped their side to post a big score in the powerplay. Azam got out on 26 from 17 balls but Shimron Hetmyer joined the crease then.. Hope-Hetmyer pair went berserk at the Barbados Royals' bowlers. They stitched a 106-run partnership between them in just 54 legal balls and that kept their side in the game.

Hetmyer scored 57 runs from 34 balls with 4 fours and 3 maximums. Shai Hope was the main aggressor in this mayhem. He registered 71 runs beside his name in just 37 balls with 5 fours and 5 maximums. When wickets were tumbling at the other end, a crucial cameo was played by Romario Shepherd. He scored 23 runs from 13 balls to help his side go past the 200-run mark and post a gargantuan total of 219.

For the Barbados Royals,  Maheesh Theekshana took 3 wickets for just 15 runs. Jason Holder, Keshav Maharaj and Obed McCoy took a wicket each.

Coming to chase the run,  Barbados Royals was never in the run chase. They lost Kadeem Alleyne and Alick Athanaze cheaply. Quinton de Kock and Rivaldo Clarke gave some fightback. Clarke got out for 17 but de Kock went on to contribute 35 from 23 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. But the Royals' middle order failed horribly. Rovman Powell, Jason Holder failed miserably. Obed McCoy and David Miller then hit a few deliveries to take the score past the 100 run mark. McCoy hit two maximums to score 13 but was cleaned up by a yorker from Shepherd.

David Miller who was playing his 500th T20, took the game deep. He completed his half-century in style with a boundary. He eventually scored 71 from 34 balls. He decorated his innings with 8 fours and 5 maximums. However he didn't receive any support from other end and that made the Royals fall 47 runs short of their target.

Guyana Amazon Warriors spinners have dominated through out their target defence. Gudakesh Motie took 3 wickets for 42 runs. Moeen Ali and skipper Imran Tahir took a couple of wickets. Dwaine Pretorius and Romario Shepherd took one wicket each.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentations.
