Biggest Win for Sunrisers Leeds in The Hundred Women's Competition (by balls remaining):

35 vs Manchester Super Giants, Leeds, 2025

34 vs London Spirit, Lord's, 2025

31 vs MI London, The Oval, 2026

31 vs Birmingham Phoenix, Birmingham, 2026, Today*
Phoebe Litchfield (Hero of the Match): "(How she went about her innings today) I think the game did set up beautifully for ourselves. We bowled exceptionally well in the first innings. The way we started with the ball, making most out of the pitch, credit goes to the bowlers. It allowed us to play with freedom and chase down the total as quickly as we can.

(On attacking straightaway in order to put the opposition bowlers under pressure) Ya, I think so. In this format of cricket, it's that kind of cricket that I play. That has been the blueprint of batting for our side. We live and die by the sword at times but putting the pressure back on the bowlers is the best way to go in T20 cricket or Hundred cricket.

(On scoring the fastest fifty in the Hundred) Oh, that's cool (smiles).

(On everyone having a clarity of their roles) Yeah, I think that's the way we have played so far in the tournament. We have come 2nd a couple of times in our matches. Yeah, the results haven't gone our way. We know that we are playing good cricket. We just probably faltered for 50 balls here and there. It's been nice to put things together and momentum in cricket is a really big thing. We will be taking it nice and hard to Headingley and then hopefully finish off the season in Manchester with a win."
Hero of the Match: Phoebe Litchfield
9:52 PM IST, 5:22 PM Local Time: That's it. Sunrisers Leeds beat Birmingham Phoenix comprehensively by nine wickets here at Edgbaston. With this, Birmingham Phoenix, MI London and London Spirit have been knocked out of the Women's Hundred 2026. The Orange Army stay alive in the competition with a convincing victory over Phoenix today.
Chasing 108, the Sunrisers got off to a flying start, thanks to Phoebe Litchfield, who came out all guns blazing. Her partner Bryony Smith fell on 12 but Litchfield kept going strong as the visitors scored 43 in the powerplay. Litchfield looked unstoppable at the crease whereas Lauren Winfield-Hill at the other end played the role of a second fiddle perfectly.
Litchfield raced to her fifty in just 20 balls, the fastest-ever in the history of the Women's Hundred. Phoenix looked clueless on the field as Litchfield made short work of the chase. She remained unbeaten on 71 to take her side across the line in just 69 balls. Her 33-ball knock comprised 13 fours and a maximum. Winfield-Hill at the other end remained unbeaten on 26 as both wrapped up the chase quickly and knocked Phoenix out of the competition.
Phoenix were asked to bat first and they got off to a disastrous start. They lost Davina Perrin (0), Tammy Beaumont (4) and Alice Capsey (6) inside the powerplay. Skipper Ellyse Perry and Emma Lamb steadied the ship with a 29-run stand before the former fell on 31 on the 48th ball.
Lamb held the innings nicely but lacked support as Phoenix kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Lamb scored a well-composed 34-ball 47 before getting run out in the final set. It was a real struggle for Phoenix as they labored their way to 107/9 at the end of their 100 balls.

For the Sunrisers, Deepti Sharma (3/11) picked up three wickets whereas Kate Cross (2/14) grabbed two, which dented Phoenix’s progress. What followed was an absolute carnage from Litchfield who made sure that the Sunrisers chased down the total quickly and boost their net run rate.
