A pretty easy win in the end for Faisalabad as they romp home with eight wickets and 4.3 overs to spare. The bowlers set-up the victory as they restricted Bahawalpur to just 117. In chase for a below-par target, the Faisalabad openers, Abdul Samad and Faizan Khan got off to a steady start before the former flicked a harmless full delivery straight to the man at deep square-leg in the fifth over.
However, Bahawalpur couldn’t make more inroads as the duo of Faizan and Taimoor batted sensibly to eat away at the target. Faizan, in particular, showed a superb array of shots as he reached his fifty off 37 balls in the 11th over. With just a few more runs to achieve, Faizan got a life as he was dropped by the long-on fielder in the 13th over. The bowler, Mohammad Junaid eventually got some success off the final delivery in the over as he castled Taimoor Sultan but it was too late by then. In the end, Faizan opened up and made sure that the game was done and dusted with more than four overs remaining.
