Crucial games coming up tomorrow. We have both the semifinals followed by the final. Mississauga Masters vs Toronto Sixers for the 1st SF on 5th October at 2 AM IST (1:30 PM Local Time, 4th October). That shall be followed by Vancouver Anchors vs Brampton Blitz in the 2nd SF at 4:30 AM IST (4 PM Local Time).

The winner of the two matches will play the final at 9 AM IST (8:30 PM Local Time).
A fine win for the Brampton Blitz just before their semifinal clash tomorrow. They shall look to continue this good run and challenge to win back-to-back titles tomorrow.

Montreal Royal Tigers unfortunately could not gather a win this season. They played decent cricket throughout. However, it was just that they failed to get across the line when it mattered.
Martin Guptill (Brampton Blitz Captain): "[Happy with that win tonight? ] Yeah, we turned it on when we needed to and got a bit of momentum heading into the semi-final tomorrow.

[Three mid-offs at one stage. Interesting tactics there, and it nearly worked, didn’t it?] We almost got a wicket there, but unfortunately, we didn’t. Look, it was a tough opposition. Obviously, Andre Russell—we all know what he can do, especially on big boundaries, let alone these smaller ones here. So, we managed to keep him at bay for a little while, and the boys did a good job.

[How's your mood personally? You've been a bit up and down there with the bats, but what about the team? ] We’re good. We’re all good. We just know that in a short format like this, anything can happen on the day. So, as long as we get a little bit of the rub of the green on the day, we’re going to have a really, really good day."
Player of the Match: James Vince
1:32 PM IST, 1:02 AM Local Time: Brampton Blitz win by 7 runs! The scoreline may suggest that the Royal Tigers came very close. However, if you followed the game, you would know that the Blitz were clear favourites as soon as they got rid of Andre Russell. They notched up a big score and backed it up with a fine bowling performance.
Montreal Royal Tigers won the toss and elected to bowl first. They got rid of Yuvraj Samra on the very first ball. However, Alex Hales with his 23 off 9 and James Vince with his mammoth 73 off 31 brought the Blitz back into the game. Asa Tribe provided the finishing touches with a scintillating 31* off 9. The Blitz ended with a massive 149/4 in 10 overs. The pick of the bowlers were Thomas Draca (1/18) and Mark Watt (1/33).
The chase started on the worst possible note. Ali Abbasi and Tajinder Singh, the two openers were dismissed for ducks. Number 4 batter Gursahib Singh also bagged a duck as the Royal Tigers were 15/3 in 8 balls. A cameo of 33 off 17 from Andre Russell provided some hope but as soon as he was dismissed, the hopes were shattered. Ryan Higgins (34* off 18) and Isuru Udana (44* off 14) played cameos at the backend but it was too late as the Royal Tigers fell 7 runs short. The pick of the bowlers for the Blitz were Hardus Viljoen (2/31), Finley Dixon (1/11), Dilon Heyliger (1/30) and JJ Smuts (1/18).
