MohammadHafeez (Joburg BuffaloesCaptain): "Well, it was and I am happy the boys showed character and the hunger to win. Should have won the early games, but that's how the game goes. The boys showed character and were hurting and glad to win. Everyone needs to chip in when required and Yusuf and Blessing did the job for us today. My hand is hurting. Let's see how this shapes up tomorrow. Happy to win today as always."

1:15 AM IST, 9:46 PM Local time: A brilliant display of bowling by Joburg Buffaloes as they thumped Bulawayo Braves by 14 runs.
In pursuit of 97 runs, Bulawayo Braves' batters struggled to read the slow wicket as they lost their top-order batters early. Sikandar Raza was looking good in touch, and he played a quick innings in the middle overs, scoring 26 runs off 13 balls. However, Noor Ahmad showed him the way back to the pavilion.
Thisara Perera(24 runs off 15 balls) and Timycen Maruma(13 runs off 6 balls) formed a quick partnership of 32 runs for the 6th wicket, but Blessing Muzarabani disrupted the momentum by taking Perera's wicket in the 9th over. In the last over, the Bulawayo Braves needed 16 runs to win, but Junior Dala bowled brilliantly, conceding only 1 run and helping his team secure the victory.
From the bowling point of view, Blessing Muzarabani, Usman Shinwari, and Junior Dala extracted a couple of wickets each, while Mohammad Hafeez and Noor Ahmad scalped a solitary wicket each.
Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Joburg Buffaloes did not have a good start as they lost both their openers quickly. Skipper Mohammad Hafeez took charge from the front and played a blazing innings, scoring 31 runs off just 11 balls. In the end, Yusuf Pathan played a brilliant knock of 36 runs and took the tally to 97 runs. Patrick Dooley proved to be quite economical, conceding only 14 runs while taking 2 wickets. Faraz Akram also managed to take one wicket.
