Sharmin Akhter Supta batted very well in the middle and Nahida (Akter) helped her get a partnership. So, we managed to get to 100 which we could fight with.
[About the conditions and discussion within the team] We knew that the surface will be blow but it was very slow and they bowled also. We were discussing that it was a matter of one partnership. If we get to 100-plus, it gives us a chance. The way Marufa (Akter) bowled was incredible. Rabeya, Nahida, Sultana, Fahima as well.

Esha Oza (UAE Women Captain): "[Thoughts after the match?] I think, the way we came out in the first innings, it was great. Against an experienced side and the way we bowled, I was proud of the girls. Our batting keeps lacking in the associate nations. They showed that. They were six down but put that partnership. We need to improve our batting to bridge the gap between the top teams and the associate teams.
[How was the experience of playing in this competition?] It's an amazing experience to play at this ground. It's great to see how much support we are getting. Hopefully, we have been able to inspire them. We haven't got to the next round but hopefully, we get into the next round in the upcoming years.
[What's the plan now?] Getting back to the drawing board. We have improved in our bowling and fielding but our batting has lacked in the last few Asia Cups. We have lacked in batting and we have to work on that in the next few months."

11:12 PM IST & 09:42 PM Local Time: In the end, a convincing win for Bangladesh as they wrap up a 34-run victory over UAE to qualify for the Semi-Finals of the 2026 Women's Asia Cup. They will face heavyweights India in the first Semi-Final on Thursday.
Chasing 104 for victory, UAE got off to the worst possible start as Esha Oza got out for 2 in the very first over off Marufa Akter's bowling. Runs hardly came for UAE and Nigar Sultana's decision to give Marufa a third over in the Powerplay paid off as she had Samaira Dharnidharka caught-behind in the fifth over. UAE managed to crawl to only 15/2 at the end of the Powerplay which is the lowest of this edition.
