That wraps up our coverage of the ODI series between Bangladesh Women and Sri Lanka Women. The T20I series between these two sides begins on Tuesday. Do join us for that. Now, it's time for us to take your leave. This is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer Bishal Mandal. Bye bye.
Lankan skipper Chamari Athapaththu receives the winners' trophy. She joins her teammates as they post for the photographs. Sri Lanka Women are the deserving winners of this ODI series.
Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka Women Captain): "(On mood in the camp) First of all, I would like to congratulate both teams on the way they played. Bangladesh also played good cricket. Our team bounced back strongly, and we hope to carry this performance into the T20 series as well. (On Hasini Perera's performance) The way she played was really impressive, and special thanks to Sri Lanka Cricket for identifying such talent.
(On the future of the Women's team) We are in good hands with a strong domestic structure, and hopefully, we can become an even better team in the future. With the World Cup coming up and the Bangladesh series before that, we’ll be looking to perform well."
Imesha Dulani (Player of the Series): "[Did she ever thought she will get the Player of the Series after playing just 7 games?] I didn't thought it. I just wanted to contribute to the team. I'm happy with this.
[On her knocks in this series] I didn't score much in the last game. I just wanted to start fresh and contribute to the team."
Player of the Series: Imesha Dulani
Hasini Perera (POTM): "(On missing out on the century) Yes, a bit disappointed, but happy we won the game. (On the conversation with Imesha Dulani) We wanted to bat as deep as possible and keep rotating the strike, and Imesha batted really well too. I’m very happy to contribute to the team and will look to continue this form."
Player of the Match: Hasini Perera
Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh Women Captain): "[What actually went wrong?] I think we had a very good chance when we dismissed Chamari early in the innings. But Perera played really well.
[Did the wicket played differently?] We couldn't bowl in the right areas. I just told the girls to bowl in the right areas and field well. When we bowled well, we didn't field well. We have to improve on those areas before the T20 series.
[Positives from this series?] Few individual players who bowled well and batted well. Nahida bowled very well in the last two games. Ritu started very well for us in every game."

4:09 PM IST, 4:39 PM Local Time: That’s it. Sri Lanka Women beat Bangladesh Women by 7 wickets in the decider. They lost the opening game but have bounced back in style, winning the next two games convincingly to seal the three-match ODI series by a 2-1 margin. All smiles in the Lankan camp as they complete a very good series win over the hosts.
Chasing 214, Sri Lanka Women lost their skipper Chamari Athapaththu (10) early in the innings. Imesha Dulani joined Hasini Perera and both built a solid partnership. Both notched up fifties and kept the hosts at bay in the middle overs. Both made sure that their side remained ahead of the required run rate.
Marufa Akter broke the 108-run stand by dismissing Dulani (56) in the 32nd over. Harshitha Madavi Samarawickrama walked in at number four. She along with Perera made sure that the hosts didn’t make a comeback in the contest. Perera played beautifully and scored 95 off 131 before falling agonizingly short of her maiden ODI ton.
Harshitha provided the finishing touches to the run chase. She remained unbeaten on 44 along with Hansima Karunaratne (2*) as Sri Lanka Women chased down the total in 46.3 overs with seven wickets in hand. Marufa Akter bowled with a lot of heart and registered figures of 2/49 but it wasn't enough as the hosts failed to defend the total.
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh Women opted to bat first. Fargana Hogue (11) and Sharmin Sultana (17) got starts but fell inside the powerplay. Sharmin Akhter at three looked good for her 25 before getting cleaned up in the 22nd over. Skipper Nigar Sultana was joined by Sobhana Mostary as both steadied the ship for the hosts.
Both Nigar and Mostary kept ticking the scoreboard and stitched a 65-run partnership before the former fell on 40. Mostary notched up a well-composed fifty. She received good support from Ritu Moni (20) at the back end of the innings.
Mostary scored 74 off 80 before falling on the final ball of the innings as Bangladesh Women posted 213/8 on the board. For Sri Lanka Women, Kavisha Dilhari bowled beautifully and registered figures of 3/48. Nimasha Madushani (2/40), Malki Madara (1/48) and Chamari Athapaththu (1/35) were the other wicket-takers. The batters then stepped up and chased down the total to seal the series with a 2-1 margin.
