Milestone
It might have taken Bangladesh Women some time to adjust to the conditions in the UK, but they finally managed to bounce back and register their first win of the tri-series today. Remember, there are only 10 days remaining for the start of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Hence, each result at this stage is important from a psychological point of view.

On the same note, Scotland Women vs Netherlands Women tomorrow will be of great significance too for both the sides. Do join us for it. Our coverage will start at 4:30 PM IST, 12 PM local time.

For now, this is the quartet of Darpan Tikiya, Mohammad Anab, Paras Yadav and Ghanendra Singh Thakur saying goodbye. Keep following CREX for more cricketing action from around the globe! Sayonara!
Nigar Sultana (POTM and Bangladesh Women Captain): "(On her batting) I think it is my role each and every day. As a top-order batter, I need to be consistent for my team.

(On adapting to the conditions) It was a challenge. We really wanted to adapt to the conditions. We have done so many things in the last two games. We just wanted to execute ourselves in the middle.

(Why did she take her appeal back when Lister was given run out at the non-striker's end?) I think it is all about sportsmanship. It is a part of the game, but we really don't want to do that.

(Plans for the next game?) We want to see our bench. We want to give everyone the opportunity to everyone. But we also want to win it and finish the series on a good note."
Player of the Match: Nigar Sultana
Kathryn Bryce (Scotland Women Captain): "(On the loss) Yeah, I think we did well to take early wickets in the powerplay in those first few overs, but I think we were probably just a little bit sloppy with our fielding and just kind of mis-executed a bit more than recently with the ball, and let them get off to a good start. Then they built good partnerships through the middle.

(On the batting) Yeah, I think it was tough coming in. We probably didn't get off to as good a start as we have done the rest of the week and put a bit of pressure on ourselves to come through. But yeah, it was good for everyone to get out there and start to assess the conditions, and probably there's a lot of learning to take into tomorrow.

(On debutant Maisie Maceira) Yeah, she's fantastic. She's really taken it in her stride. And yeah, it was absolutely brilliant the way she changed things up at the end and got those rewards. I think the way she bowled those last couple of overs kept them to probably below a par total.

(On the mankading attempt) Yeah, I think mostly the ball kind of happened, but it's one of those tough ones. That's what it says in the rules, but yeah, I'm really grateful to them for calling her back out there.

(On the next game) Yeah, it's really important to finish this week strongly. We've had some great performances, so I think it's sometimes nice to get a quick turnaround, forget about today, move on, learn from it, and go again tomorrow."
Time for post-match presentations with Melinda Farrell...
8:22 PM IST, 3:52 PM local time: After being marred by some inconsistent performance and foreign conditions, Bangladesh Women finally register their first win of the series. They beat the hosts comprehensively by 34 runs. And once again, it was captain Nigar Sultana who led from the front.

She came out to bat when her team was in trouble. Openers Juairiya Ferdous and Dilara Akhter, who scored 15 runs off the first over, had been dismissed. Soon after Sultana's arrival, Kathryn Bryce got rid of Taj Nehar too to leave Bangladesh Women reeling at 23/3. But then, the skipper showed the way. Responsible, mature and classy — Sultana's 58 (47) captured everyone's attention. She stitched a 77-run partnership with Sobhana Mostary, who scored 39 (31), to steady the ship and then, upped the ante towards the end to ensure that her team got to a respectable score of 152/6 in 20 overs.

However, given the result of the previous meeting between these two sides, Scotland Women were still the favourites at the halfway mark. That's when Sanjida Akter Meghla's inclusion paid dividends. She first took a splendid catch to dismiss Katherine Fraser and then, got Darcey Carter out with the first delivery she sent down. Scotland were in trouble early at 1/2. Kathryn Bryce counter-attacked before miscuing one off Marufa Akter's bowling and fell for 21 (14).

Post that, Scotland Women continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Sparks flew too. Marufa picked the ball in her follow-through and hurled it at Sarah Bryce. A few overs later, Meghla Mankaded Ailsa Lister. Though, the appeal was taken back by Sultana. However, Lister soon fell prey to Rabeya Khan and normal service resumed. The hosts lost their last 4 wickets for just 6 runs with Ritu Moni taking 3 of them. Sarah Bryce's gritty 40 was perhaps the only bright spot for them.

W WICKET!!!! CLEAN BOWLED. End of the innings. Bangladesh have finally registered a victory in WT20Is after five straight losses in the format. Arm ball. Bowls it from the front of the hand. Skids off the surface. The batter makes room and tries to cut it without any proper technique. She gets beaten on outside and the ball crashes onto her off stump. Bangladesh Women register a victory by 34 runs.
