We do have another game lined up today. It is the 2nd quarterfinal between Pakistan Women and the Thailand Women scheduled at 10:30 AM IST (2 PM Local Time). Do join us for the live coverage of that as we hope the ground dries up in time for us to witness some cricketing action.

7:30 AM IST, 11 AM Local Time: We have an official word. The match has been abandoned due to a wet outfield! Yes, folks! It is unfortunate but the ground simply refused to dry in time, and the officials had to make a tough call. Kudos to China Women for accepting it so gracefully as the Bangladesh Women have advanced to the semifinals owing to a higher position in the WT20I rankings.

7:20 AM IST, 10:50 AM Local Time: The discussion between the match officials and the captains is over. As I type, the Bangladesh team have formed a line, stepped onto the field and are walking towards the Chinese dugout. Ah! They are shaking hands with the Chinese players who too are quick to form a line. Is the match called off? Nothing official as yet.

7:13 AM IST, 10:43 AM Local Time: The umpires are involved in a long chat with the ground staff. They call in the Chinese captain, Huang Zhuo as well. Nigar Sultana Joty, the Bangladeshi skipper strides out to the middle and joins the conversation too.

7:06 AM IST, 10:36 AM Local Time: We have some good news folks! The Chinese players have started with their warmups. No signs of the Bangladeshi players though. They have still not made their way out to the middle for any kind of warmups.

7:02 AM IST, 10:32 AM Local Time: There is nothing new to update at the moment. All I can say is that we are going to have a highly curtailed match (whenever it starts) as we have lost a lot of time.

06:06 AM IST, 09:36 PM Local Time: The current status is that the 'Match has been delayed due to wet outfield'. There was an announcement at the ground that the ground staff is trying to get the conditions ready for the game. A start will be given once we have a confirmation.

5:42 AM IST, 9:12 AM Local Time: There is no player activity taking place on the ground as of now. All one can see is the ground staff doing their bit in the square. As I type, I can see a couple of the ground staff members measuring and marking the 25-yard circle. This suggests we are a fair while from getting underway with live action.

05:20 AM IST, 08:50 AM Local Time: The broadcast graphics show that the competition has been delayed. At this juncture, we are trying to get information when the toss will take place. Stay tuned for further updates.
