Milestone
That's all for the coverage of this game. As usual it was a pleasure bringing you all the live updates from this thrilling encounter. Till the next time, it's a ta-ta and a goodbye from me, Anurag Dasgupta and my co-commentator, Anurag Singh.
Sikandar Raza | Winning skipper: Today we managed to tick a lot more boxes than we managed yesterday. I would have taken 166 at the start of the match and with a young squad, it gives us confidence. We back ourselves to defend... Blessing listened to the team plan... and hopefully we all listen to the team plan for the final game!"
Mahmudullah | Losing skipper: "We didn't have a good partnership... We missed a few chances in the field, that's why they put big partnerships and got to a big total. We need to look into those areas and come back stronger. Shoriful has been bowling really well. The bowlers have been trying really hard."
Madhevere | Man of the Match: "All credit to the boys. Everyone in the change room gave me positive ideas... The wicket was on the slower side, but credit to the Bangladesh bowlers - they bowled well. I'm starting to fancy opening in T20s, and build on that as well... "
Time for the presentation ceremony.
Bangladesh never got going and kept on losing wickets at regular interval. Muzarabani came onto the attack and dismissed both the openers in one over and from that point onwards Bangladesh kept chasing the game. Masakadza bowled the spell of his life picking up 3 big wickets and the game was done and dusted. Shamim Hossain played a decent cameo at the end but fell prey to Jongwe in the 16th over. Bangladesh kept finding fielders at the deep and it was the story for their heavy batting lineup.
Zimbabwe score 65 runs off the last 6 overs to post 166 on the board after opting to bat. A better batting performance from the hosts. Unlike yesterday, they were more cautious at the start, Madhevere got his highest T20I score of 73 - including five fours and three sixes - and Burl finished off the innings with a 19-ball 34. ensured that they had the wickets in hand and tried to maximise in the death. Madhevere upped the ante before falling to a slower ball from Shoriful Islam. Ryan Burl played an excellent cameo towards the end to take his team's total over 160.
And with that Zimbabwe defeat Bangladesh by 23 runs and level the three match T20I series 1-1. A fine bowling performance has taken the game away from the Tigers who were the favourites to win the match.
19.5 L Jongwe to T Ahmed
W Gone! End of the innings! Zimbabwe have won this game pretty comfortably! Slower outside the off. Ahmed swings the ball hard, but just can't beat the man at long on who charges towards his left and takes a brilliant diving catch.
