Ali Imran has been chosen as 'Player of the Match' for his brilliant knock of 64(45).
Sohail Tanvir turned the clock back with the bat as a terrific strike over the deep mid wicket boundary sealed the match for Northern. Which means Northern has become the first team to qualify for semifinal. On other side Balochistan needs to do take care of net run rate to qualify from here on. At one time this chase of 186 runs was looking very straightforward with partnership of Ali Imran and Zeeshan Malik but things turned dramatically after their departure. Earlier in Balochistan's innings, template was very much similar with fifties of Abdullah Shafique and Imam ul Haq but they couldn't get a good finish. Balochistan scored just 10 runs in last 2 overs which proved costly for them at the end.
19.5 J Khan to S Tanvir
6 SIX! It's all over. Tanvir finishes this off in style. A slower short bouncer and the left hander pulls it into the stands at midwicket boundary. This has been a magnificent game, both sides refusing to go away after being down at times in the match. Sohail Tanvir delivers that final smashing blow to seal the match and semifinal spot for the Northern.
