Until then, I am Dev Rajawat, signing off, along with the scorer, Yogesh Kumar. That’s it from our side. Thanks for joining. Goodbye from this tab! TAKE CARE! BREATHE AND SMILE! CIAO!!!
Australia have kept their campaign alive, but there is no time to linger, as another match awaits in today's double-header, with India Champions taking on Bangladesh Champions next. So switch tabs, follow the fun.
What a turnaround this was. Australia stumbled with the bat, then roared back with the ball. A story of resilience when defeat seemed the likeliest ending. Hilfenhaus brought the early thunder, Fawad supplied the spin and squeeze, and the fielders backed them with sharp catches to turn a small target into an impossible chase. West Indies never found the partnership they needed, and Australia seized every opening until the contest was theirs. That is the beauty of T20 cricket - one innings can falter, yet another can rise to the occasion.
David Warner (Australia Champions Captain): (On defending 119 runs) "The boys came out and bowled, and it was like Ben Hilfenhaus hadn't retired for a long time. He was exceptional out there. The length was important. Everything was Test-match length, and I think if you don't give the batters too many options, you can't bowl short; you just pitch it up. So, fantastic, he did that.

(On the spinners) Even for the spinners, I think the wicket helped. Fawad bowled well, and they kept building the pressure. There was no release of pressure, and no freebies were given at all. I think that's encouraging. Michael Beer was awesome. Fawad and Darcy combined well, hit the right lengths, and even if one got hit, they backed themselves to keep turning the ball, which is what we want.

(On the atmosphere in the camp) Yeah, look, it is hard. The guys are here to have fun, to entertain, and hopefully everyone has had lots of smiles on their faces. We've got another good game coming up here, and hopefully we can carry this forward."
Chris Gayle (West Indies Champions Captain): (On the defeat after not chasing 119) "Cricket is a funny game. They came out and got some early wickets, which put us on the back foot, and we never recovered from that.

(On the team's batting performance) I'm telling you, next time I'm sure we'll score 200, because a lot of teams chase 200. When you're chasing 120, you can get a bit relaxed. But like I said, it's a funny game, and they got the better of us. They bowled really well, and we just didn't come to the party with the bat today. It was one of those days. That's cricket."
Ben Hilfenhaus (Player of the Match): (On the team's performance) "Obviously, it's been amazing when we had only 119, and it's always nice to be able to find our footing every now and then and not always be defending 200-plus, because we're a good side.

(On defending 119 runs) You never know what's going to happen in a match, so you've just got to keep trying and have fun.

(On building pressure while bowling) I think you have to be able to handle the pressure and understand what you need to do. Create some pressure, because as I said, you never know what's going to happen."
