Until then, I am Dev Rajawat, signing off, along with my co-commentator, Deepak Prakash, scorer, Sahil Khan, and statistician, Aman. That’s it from our side. Thanks for joining. But cricket doesn’t sleep. Plenty is happening around the world. Switch tabs, follow the fun. Goodbye from this tab! TAKE CARE! BREATHE AND SMILE! CIAO!!!
The hosts have the series in their pocket at 2-0, and now the final ODI awaits - one last opportunity for Bangladesh to respond, and for Australia to complete a clean sweep. Do join us on Wednesday, 14th October, for that game.
And so, two very different batting stories shaped this contest. Mostary and Nigar fought to bring Bangladesh back from the brink, while Voll and Litchfield made the chase look effortless. One partnership rescued an innings, while another swept away the challenge in a blur of boundaries. Schutt supplied the early thunder, but Australia’s batters delivered the final flourish, leaving little doubt about their superiority on the day. Bangladesh’s remarkable recovery deserved a fighting chance, yet 220 proved nowhere near enough against an Australian side in full flight.
Tahlia McGrath (Australia Women Captain): (On Bangladesh's batting performance) "They batted really well. We contained them but couldn't take a wicket, so full credit to them. We just gave them a bit too much width with our bowling. Watching the partnership between Phoebe and Voll was pretty special.

(On the impact of Sobhana Mostary's century) It's awesome for the game of cricket. The century was pretty special. It was a good innings, and I'm pretty happy for her, to be honest. They showed really good intent today and got us thinking a bit more about what we were doing with our field changes. It was awesome to see them post a total like that. It was a pretty nice batting wicket, and they made the most of it.

(On the partnership between Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Voll) There's a lot of talent, but I think they play with freedom. They know their strengths, and they're a bit unique in that they complement each other really nicely with where they hit the ball. They just take the game on. They're two young players with so much talent and no fear. They're outstanding."
Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh Women Captain): "[Obviously not the result you're looking for, but there are a couple of things you wanted to do better today. Do you feel like you did those?] We put in a much better performance than in the previous games. Sobhana and I were trying to build a partnership, and she went on to score her maiden century against Australia. It was a wonderful achievement for her. I think we could have added a few more runs, but unfortunately, we couldn't. Credit also goes to the bowlers, who bowled really well today.

[Tell us about the significance of that 100. How proud are you of that performance, and sitting alongside her in a record partnership against Australia as well?] Yeah, it was a historic moment and a great achievement for her and the team. While I was batting with her, I kept encouraging her, telling her, 'You have to do it!' I almost felt like I had scored the century myself! I’m really happy for her because she’s a wonderful player who has been very consistent with the bat for a long time. I think she truly deserves this achievement.

[Where's the next little opportunity to keep improving?] I think we'll keep improving day by day. There's a lot we can take away from this game, and we'll reflect on those aspects when we get the time. We have two more days before the next game, so we'll make sure to get some good rest, recover well, and hopefully fit in a practice session. We definitely want to come back stronger as a unit."
Georgia Voll (POTM): "[Friday, dismissed cheaply but striking the ball well. How do you then produce that 2 days later?] Yeah, I felt like I went out there and batted the way I wanted to the other day, but I was obviously unfortunate to get out the way I did. Today, it was about going back out there and starting in exactly the same way. I love batting with Phoebe, so it was great to build another good opening partnership and get our team off to a strong start. That was the most important thing.

[You've played 15 games in this format for Australia. You've converted 3 hundreds. You seem to manage your innings well. How?] I don't really know, to be honest. I think I base my game around power hitting, but I also try to go through the gears. I look to hit the ball hard and straight early on before opening up the ground a little. I try to minimise the risks at the start, let my innings develop, and then take the attack on once I'm settled.

[And what role does Phoebe play alongside you in that?] Yeah, I think you can see that Pheebs can hit the ball 360 degrees around the ground. She can bat on both sides, so it's pretty easy to bat at the other end with her. We've also played together for a really long time, and it's always been our dream to play alongside each other for Australia. Opening the batting together and putting on a good partnership to give the team a strong start is the most important thing. I think we just have a lot of fun doing it."
