The third and final ODI of the series will take place in a couple of days' time. Both teams will cap off the series with it on the 20th of September. Live action of the match will start at 1 PM IST (9:30 AM Local Time). Do join us on time for the coverage.
So then, after losing back-to-back ODI series to Pakistan and Bangladesh, Australia finally show everyone a bit of their best by breezing past Zimbabwe and notching up a 2-0 series win with one game to go. Travis Head getting runs and Josh Hazlewood bowling with immaculate accuracy on his return are two massive positives.

For Zimbabwe, the key word is 'intent.' They lacked it all throughout the chase despite batters getting in. Going forward if they can work on that; this Sikandar Raza's team has the potential to bother a few top teams.
Mitchell Marsh (Australia Captain): "(What impressed him the most about the performance) Well, to me, it was a complete performance from the boys. Obviously, with the way Travis batted and the platform we were able to set for our middle order was great to see. It was great to see guys like Cooper Connolly and Peaky (Peake) stepping up and playing roles like that and then we had Big Billy go down. We had all-rounders, part timers stepping up in those conditions with the ball. So, overall, it was a complete performance and we will take that moving forward for the next 12 months.

(On the batting performance) I thought the wicket looked better today and it certainly played better. It still nipped around a little bit. Both new balls were doing it's thing. It was a really good cricket wicket.

(How important was it to fill Stanlake's overs after he went off the field) I am used to it (chuckles). It's quite of fun when you have your part timers bowling short spells. They all loved it and it was good fun. As I said, it was a complete performance today.

(Update on Billy Stanlake) Umm, I haven't got any update. I haven't spoken to anyone yet. Hopefully, he is okay. He is a great young kid. Well, not young anymore but certainly young in my eyes. Hopefully, he is okay."
Travis Head (POTM): "[On his return to form] Yeah it was good. Nice to spend some time in the middle and get a good partnership with Mitch (Marsh). Very pleased.

[On his mindset before batting] Just the same as always. We didn't really train for a couple of days. We had done a fair bit of training leading into the series, so we just wanted to get into game mode, and it was nice to be fresh and yes just about taking it one game at a time. In a 3-game series you are only going to have an impact once or twice. So, understand that you are not going to make runs in every game. It was nice to get a start and happy that I was able to get a good score and contribute to a good win.

[Chat with Mitch Marsh in that partnership] It has been the same. We are going to be aggressive in that powerplay with the first couple of guys. Myself, Mitch and Cooper so continue to keep that moving forward and get the run rate high and put a platform for the middle order. I thought we lost wickets in the first game, but we were at 160-170 in 30 overs. The run rate hasn't been an issue which has been good."
Player of the Match: Travis Head
Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain): "(Is he regretting the toss decision?) Nah, I think it was the right decision to make. The way the seamers bowled at the start, you could see the carry in the wicket as well. It's just that sometimes it's easy to stand here and say things could've gone the other way but credit goes to Travis and Mitch with the way they negotiated the new ball and put us under pressure and in that sort of a game, it gave them a very good start. Boys tried, bowled some very good balls but other than that, it was their skills. Some of good balls also went for boundaries.

(Overall assessment) I thought it was a good wicket. I thought 356 was a bit too much I thought. 300, 310 would have been a chaseable total on that wicket but once you are going after 350 and to end up with 270-280, it can happen. Things would have been a different story had it been 310-320.

(Discussions during the innings break on the approach of the run chase) We were slightly behind. We were discussing if we can be somewhere around 170-180 after 30 and 250-260 after 40 then we give ourselves a good chance, especially with wickets in hand as well. But credit to their bowlers as well. If you look at our batters, majority of them got 30s but not one fifty or a hundred. As we were about to kick on with our starts, they ended up picking up a wicket. Things went tougher and tougher. Hopefully we improve from this game and try to get those big hundreds which are needed in ODI cricket."
