Steven Smith(Australia Skipper): "It was a nice finish. As we had a challenging start, West Indies bowled really well, and it was a tricky surface. Lower-middle order played well with the bat. I thought 250 was about par, but then we did really well with the ball. Frase looked like he was enjoying himself. Sutherland was really good, bashed it on a length. Nice to see them debut. Canberra is a nice wicket, hope to win the series by 3-0."
Shai Hope(West Indies Skipper): " I thought we stuck to our guns with the ball, we were really good with the bowling. Must commend our bowlers, for the way they bowled. 258 wasn't too much. It was a challenging wicket, Aussies bowled well. We need to find ways to score more freely. We have to win the last game of the series, that's the plan."
Sean Abbott(Player of the Match): " The situation I found myself in was tricky, I had to play the risk-free cricket. I thought 220 would be a good score after seeing the wicket. We have a very good group, it's good to be around this group. Your cricket is moving forward even if you are not playing every game. Enjoying every bit of it, especially in the last few months. I love getting out on the field and playing in front of my friends and family. Got only one game in the World Cup but got a lot before that, which gave me a chance to go out in the nets and work hard."

While there were numerous promising starts for the Australians, none materialized into a substantial score. Cameron Green exhibited finesse with 33 runs off 41 balls, Marnus Labuschagne contributed 26 off 33 balls, and Matthew Short showcased his prowess with 41 off 55 balls.

Keacy Carty emerged as the top scorer for West Indies, contributing 40 runs. Despite his efforts, the West Indies innings concluded at 175 runs in 43.3 overs. The Australian bowlers displayed a disciplined performance, led by Josh Hazlewood and Sean Abbott, who both claimed three wickets. Will Sutherland added two wickets to the tally, while Adam Zampa and Aaron Hardie took one each.
With this victory, Australia has established an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
