Aaron Finch: "Yeah, it was a clinical performance. It was brilliant after the bowlers started. Starc took a wicket in the first over, Hazlewood took one in the next on and then they carried on and set the tone for us. We thought we would take the opportunity to win big if we got the chance, but you can't plan for that. At the halfway mark, we knew we had to chase it down in 8 overs to overtake South Africa. When you have that opportunity, you have to take it. Starc is getting back to his best. We saw some swing in the first over. When he's back to his best, that happens early. Zampa's fifer was outstanding. Don't know if we ever are. We have to play well against West Indies. We have a couple of days to recharge and then a couple of days to practice. The four-day break came at the right time for us after the thumping we had.
Mahmudullah: "Disappointing performance from the side. When you have these sorts of performance, it is hard to say anything. There are quite a lot of areas that we need to improve and one of them is our batting. We have to figure out what went wrong for us in the tournament. As professionals, we have to adapt to different conditions and we have failed in doing so. We came close in two games against Sri Lanka and West Indies, but other than that we have been outplayed by the other sides. Really happy with the support we have got here."
Time for the post match presentation with Michael Atherton.
Adam Zampa: "Really happy for my performance and happy to take wickets for my side. Wade has to be given credit for a lot of my wickets. This was my first fifer and it's a nice feeling to get it. The quick bowlers have been quite difficult to get away with in the Powerplay. Even the likes of Maxwell has bowled well for us. Teams are coming harder during the middle overs and that gives me a chance to take wickets. My job is to pick wickets in the middle overs and that role remains the same. We were chasing a low total today and we wanted to be aggressive."
Adam Zampa is the Player of the Match for his 5-wicket haul.
6.2 T Ahmed to M Marsh
6 Back of a length again and Marsh puts it away in the stands over mid wicket! Finishes off in style! Australia win by eight wickets! Brilliant finish to the innings! They shot up their net run rate and now stand just behind England in the Group 1 points table!
6.2 T Ahmed to M Marsh
WD Quick bouncer outside off. 143kph. Gets too much bounce as Marsh lets it go. Wide ball is the signal from the umpire.
6.1 T Ahmed to M Marsh
4 Overpitched outside the off stump. Marsh is quick on the front foot and smashes this down the ground towards the left of the wide mid off fielder for four! No protection in the deep! Australia just a stroke away from victory.
