This is Ishan signing off along with my co-commentator Saiprasad along with our scorer cum analyst Zeeshan. We will be back with all the live action on a match day, until then Tata, Good Bye, Shubh Ratri.
Najibullah Zadran (Man of the Match): When he went in to bat, he had a chat with D Rasooli to build a stand and then look to target the final four overs. Adds that he was seeing the ball well and just hit through the line.
Mohammad Nabi (Afghanistan Captain): They did well with the bat and it was a good start with the bat but applauds Zimbabwe for making a comeback and goes on to applaud Najibullah Zadran for his knock as well.
Craig Ervine (Zimbabwe Captain): He is definitely happy with the effort but is disappointed as it is another loss for them. Adds that they thought 150-160 was par but they would have liked to get some more runs.
Saiprasad will take you through the presentation ceremony here.
20.03 IST: That's it Afghanistan have pulled it off. The game went down to the wire but they did it in the penultimate over of the match, they have won it by six wickets by blundering 61 runs in the last five overs. Batting Zimbabwe had put only 159 runs on the board which was at least 15-20 below par considering the batting paradise track. In addition, considering the start, Afghanistan's openers had got Zimbabwe were nowhere in the game. But the 11th over which was bowled by Ryan Burl turned the table for the hosts as the spinner got three wickets in the one over. Rahmanullah Gurbaz(33) was the first one to depart followed by the other opener Hazratullah Zazai who smashed 45 runs only off 26 deliveries and on the last ball of the over, Burl snatched the wicket of Usman Ghani(1) as well. Things were becoming worse for the visitors, moreover, the inning of Darwish Rasooli (11 off 20 balls) was putting the side on the back foot too. But it was Najibullah Zadran who was giving tough times to Zimbabwe bowlers. The stylish batter smashed 44 off just 25 balls to seal the deal for the visitors. Along with him, skipper Mohammad Nabi (15 of 8 balls) was also instrumental in their chase.

For Zimbabwe, Burl scalped three wickets (in a single over). Luke Jongwe also chipped in with a wicket. But in the end, the outrageous effort from the host went in vain as they weren't able to come over the line.

The second ODI of the series will be played on 6 June at the same venue and it will be a do-or-die for the host/visitors as it is only a three-match series.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.
19.2 B Muzarabani to N Zadran
6 Zadran finishes off in style here. Good length delivery outside off, Zadran stands tall and pulls it confidently all the way for a massive six towards the deep square leg region here. With this, Afghanistan won the match by 6 wickets and leads the series by 1-0.
19.1 B Muzarabani to N Zadran
2 A couple of runs to start off, Zadran hits it straight towards the long-on fielder and the mis-field allows them to collect a quick brace here.
