Until then, I am Dev Rajawat, signing off, along with my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal, scorer Dushyant Madhukar Kumar, and statistician Aman. That’s it from our side. Thanks for joining. But cricket doesn’t sleep. Plenty is happening around the world. Switch tabs, follow the fun. Goodbye from this tab! TAKE CARE! BREATHE AND SMILE! CIAO!!!
The one-off Test ends without a winner, but Afghanistan have earned plenty of respect. And the cricket continues! The tri-series featuring Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe begins soon, with Bangladesh taking on Zimbabwe on Saturday, 17 October. Join us then for more cricket, more drama, and hopefully fewer dropped catches!
And what a lovely sight to bring the curtain down! With no winner to crown after five grinding days of Test cricket, captains Rahmat Shah and Najmul Hossain Shanto come together to share the trophy. Both teams gather behind the WINNERS board for photographs, turning a small touch of humour into a memorable moment.

There are smiles, cheers and a few celebrations in between. No one gets to lift the trophy as the sole winner, but both teams have earned their place in the frame after a hard-fought battle. Five days of toil, patience and relentless cricket end with a picture worth keeping. Sometimes, the best finish is not about who wins the trophy, but about two teams standing together after giving the game everything they had.
What a finish to a Test that had almost everything - big hundreds, a hat-trick, a five-wicket haul, a marathon knock, missed chances, and a final-session escape act.

Bangladesh will take pride in their batting depth, Litton's century and Hasan Mahmud's outstanding bowling, but they will also know that chances must be taken when a result is within reach.

Afghanistan, meanwhile, can celebrate their resilience. Rahmat's hundred and Atal's monumental 332-ball vigil showed their batting character, while Qais and Yamin delivered the nerve required when the match was hanging by a thread.
Stat: Litton Das recorded nine dismissals as a wicketkeeper in this Test, the joint third-most by a wicketkeeper in a Test match, alongside 39 players who feature in the top three positions.
Rahmat Shah [Afghanistan Captain, translated from Pashto]: "[This is a draw, alright. It's nothing less than a win, right?] Yes, absolutely. For me, this is surely a winning moment. The way we put in the effort over five days, whether in bowling or batting, makes it really special.

[About the batting performance] If you look at it, we had a plan for the game, both in bowling and batting, and we stuck to that plan. If we needed runs, we scored runs. If we needed to spend time at the crease, we spent time at the crease. As a result, the match moved towards a draw.

[On Sediqullah Atal's maturity] Yes. Sediq has freshly come into the T20 setup, and he showed tremendous temperament. He followed the team's requirements and plans and carried out what was asked of him, and that helped us achieve this result.

[On his batting, century on debut as an Afghanistan Test captain] As a captain, leading from the front. You have to assess the conditions, the opposition and the bowlers, and use your footwork accordingly. In my opinion, you have to read the opposition fielders and the captain's changes, adjust your batting, and find the gaps to score runs. I worked on my footwork, and that helped me keep adding runs to the board and make the most of the opportunities."
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): (On the disappointment of the result) "Yes, it's disappointing, but I think they played brilliantly. We created some opportunities, but we couldn't cash in on those opportunities.

(On the performance of the bowlers) Obviously, looking at our team over the last couple of years, the fast bowlers have been doing a brilliant job. I really expected the spinners to come through in this match because of the weather and the conditions, but I think they tried. As I said, Afghanistan played some brilliant cricket. Going forward, this is a learning experience for us as a team. Playing five days of good cricket is a new experience for us, and this experience will help us going forward.

(On the upcoming home series) Obviously, I think it was a great opportunity for us here, and the preparation from this match will help us in that series. I hope the batters, especially, will get some runs, and that Litton gets back into form, along with Mushfiqur Rahim. I think this match will help our team, and the boys are really prepared to play that series.

(On Liton Das's performance) I think the way Litton played in this match was really outstanding. Not only in this game, but over the last few years, he has been outstanding behind the stumps, and his decisions in taking DRS have also been excellent. It's good for Bangladesh cricket, the way he has shown his character by scoring a hundred in these conditions and then keeping for 140 overs. He has shown a lot of character, and I hope he continues with both his wicketkeeping and batting.

(On Hasan Mahmud and Bangladesh's pace attack) Obviously, whenever I give Hasan the ball, he does a great job for the team in any conditions, whether in Australia or here. He has been outstanding. Along with Ebadot, Taskin, Rana, and Shoriful, the pace unit is outstanding. They work really hard, and I hope they continue the way they have over the last couple of years."
Litton Das (Player of the Match): "(On keeping wickets in the Abu Dhabi heat) Yes it was tough because of the heat. Playing five days of cricket in this heat was tough. But I thought I need my energy to keep wickets in this heat. Obviously we wanted to win the match, but that is how cricket goes on. Afghans did really well, the way they batted on day four and day five was good.

(On his batting) To be honest when I got the first run, I was a bit relieved. I practiced and got some confidence coming back. When I got that one run, that gave me a little bit confidence. The wicket was a little bit flat. I missed the first innings, but I knew I won't be getting a big opportunity to score big every time. So I took the chance.

(Which catch is your favourite?) I think Hasan's second wicket in the hat-trick one. You know when someone is bowling short ball, you have time to react. When someone bowled outside off, I know it was coming outside off. That one was tough."
