That is all we have from the commentary box folks. Till the next time, it's adieus from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) and my fellow commentators Ajay Ahire and Akshaya Krishna Polya along with our scorer Zeeshan Naiyer.
The trophy will be presented after the T20I series. Bangladesh team now poses with the winner's board.
Hashmatullah Shahidi, Afghan skipper- "I am proud of the team the way they came to the ground. We lost the first two games so it wasn't easy and I am proud of the way we played today. It was looking a bit grassy so when he (Tamim) won the toss and opted to bat I was happy with the decision. I felt it would be easier to chase. Farooqi is a wonderful find in the series. Gurbaz is a brilliant player for us. Ofcourse the way Nabi and Rashid changed the match for us today was brilliant."
Liton Das is the Player of the series- "Definitely. I am very happy with my performance. If my team wins then only my performance will count. I did my job in the first fifteen overs. In my mind I have to bat for 35 overs and if I can bat till 42nd over the game will be a different one. I love to do batting really well. I will dedicate this to my wife as she has always supported me."
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Player of the Match: " Yeah, I played really well all thanks to Allah. I got an ice pack after that injury in the last game. We lost the series though we won today. We made a strong come back today. Every time I play an innings I will try to hold it on to the long time. Today I got another opportunity and played well. Riaz the young boy helped me well out there. And also the team management supports us. Thanks."
Tamim Iqbal(Losing Captain): "Very disappointed today. These points are really important in terms of qualification. The same thing has happened against Sri Lanka earlier as we lost the last game of the series there. They played really well today and took the game away from us. Liton got out at the wrong time for us and that was a turning point of the game. This was a very important game for us but disappointed not to win that. No room for excuses we didn't play good cricket and lost the game. Gurbaz played really well and he deserved the praise."
It's time for the presentation.
Arya: Earlier in the day it was Tamim Iqbal who won the toss and opted to bat. The Afghanistan bowlers started off decently and didn’t allow the Bangladesh openers to set the ball rolling in the powerplay. Tamim Iqbal fought his way through to a knock of 11 of 25 deliveries before a brilliant delivery from Farooqi sneaked through his defence and disturbed the timbers. Bangladesh managed to seize control of the match with a resolute stand between Liton Das and Shakib Al Hasan.

Omarzai bowled quite brilliantly and troubled the duo with his pace and skiddy nature. He got his deserved breakthrough when Shakib Al Hasan was late into a shot and ended up chopping a skiddy delivery outside off onto his stumps. With the score reading 104/2, Bangladesh again needed a bit of rebuilding from Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das. The home team lost Rahim and Yasir Ali Chowdhury early and all of a sudden they were under a lot of pressure.

Liton Das managed to complete another well-deserved half-century but eventually fell short of a century by 14 runs. He batted well for his 86 but had to perish in an attempt to up the ante. Wickets kept falling in clusters in the back end and Bangladesh didn’t even manage to play out their full quota of 50 overs eventually getting bowled out for 192 in the 47th over. For Afghanistan, Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers finishing with figures of 3/37 while experienced campaigner Mohammad Nabi chipped in with a couple.

Arya: What an emphatic victory for Afghanistan. After losing the first two matches, this has been a completely dominating all-round performance from the Afghan boys as they bag 10 important points in the CWC Super league. It wasn’t a huge run-chase but still, Afghanistan needed to get off to a steady start. Openers Riaz Hassan and Rahmanullah Gurbaz started off in a positive fashion and played some delightful shots to get going.

Both the batsmen looked in immaculate touch as they shared a partnership of 78 runs in 15.2 overs before the dismissal of Hassan. It was Shakib Al Hasan who provided the maiden breakthrough but from there on it was all Afghanistan. It was an exceptional display of batsmanship by the duo of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rahmat Shah. They weathered the storm in the initial stages and then started taking the Bangladesh bowlers on.

It was a delectable batting display from the duo and none of the Bangladesh bowlers had any answers in front of their batsmanship. Left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam did trouble the duo on certain occasions. Gurbaz was dropped twice in two overs by Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad and went onto cash in as he completed a well-deserved century to seal the match for Afghanistan.

Rahmat Shah was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan but by then Afghanistan was well on course for a well-deserved victory. Skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi was also undone by a good delivery by Mehidy Hasan but it was all too little too late for Bangladesh. Fittingly Rahmanullah Gurbaz struck the winning runs for Afghanistan as they reached the victory target in the 41st over.
