For now, this is Saptak Sanyal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Soumarya Dutta, and the scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Good night!
Tomorrow, Glasgow Cosmic will be back again and they will be eyeing a comeback. They will lock horns with Belfast Wolves. The first ball will be bowled at 6:45 PM IST and 3:15 PM Local Time. Our coverage starts an hour prior to that. Do join us for that.
Amsterdam Flames will be the happiest of the six teams right now. After two back-to-back defeats to start the tournament, they bounced back with a thumping victory over Glasgow Cosmic. It was a wicket where 180-185 would have been a winning total, but they chased down 172 with 19 balls to spare. Glasgow Cosmic will have to rebuild now after losing two games on a trot now.
Scott Edwards (Amsterdam Flames Captain): "(On the board now. You will be happy with that) Absolutely. It felt like it has not started in the first three games. Nice to get the first win on the board and go from here.

(You must be pretty pleased with the comeback) I think there was a few really important overs. Aryan at the top bowled three sensational overs when there was chaos in the powerplay. Obviously spin through the middle brought us back. Those three-four overs on the trot. It was really good for us.

(180-run wicket and you chased it with so many balls to spare) I think specially from Samra. It was a pretty special hitting. We thought there was a little bit in the wicket, but he did not let it look that way.

(How did you keep the morale up in the team?) I think we did not let them feel like we did a lot of wrongs. So the games were close and one of them became a five-over shoot-out. Camp was in a good place, but this win was needed."
Yuvraj Samra (Amsterdam Flames, Player of the Match) - "(On his knock) Really enjoyed it. Always looked forward to this innings especially with all the rain. Just happy to be able to be out there and do my best for the side.

(On his plans with the bat) Just give the team a good start and just see the ball and hit the ball. That was my plan and I was able to give my side a good start.

(On his aggressive approach early on) It is pretty natural to me since I was a kid. I have always played like that and it has stuck with me since my childhood.

(On which shot he enjoyed the most) I enjoyed the slog sweep. There was one where I managed to hit the top of the roof and it was a great one for me. It was amazing.

(On the plan in the powerplay) The plan was to get as many as runs in the powerplay as I can and then later on to just adjust as per the circumstances.

(On how he is enjoying here in the tournament) I am enjoying it at the moment. Really good being around in the competition and learning from the players so having a great time. "
Player of the Match- Yuvraj Samra
The Post Match presentation is coming up now.
George Munsey( Glasgow Cosmic Captain) - " (On the first innings)  Jason and I had a good partnership at the top. We lost our way in the middle and then it was very difficult to capitalize towards the back end of the innings.

(On the par score) I thought the par score was 165-170 so I was very happy at the halfway stage of the innings. But if you don't hit your lengths and straps then it becomes very difficult to defend.

(On the bowling)The bowlers have been teriffic in the competition so far. They've always done well for us but the batters left around 25-30 runs in the park today and it cost us a bit today. This is the first day that the bowlers didn't do that well.

(On whether batting first was a good call) Yeah I think so. Look it is about the skills. It is same for both the sides. You gotta perform and execute your plans properly. We didn't quite nail our plans so you know that's cricket.

(On plans from here on) No there is a lot of experience in that lineup. We have a great bunch of players. So it is just about going out there and dusting ourselves off. We will be back here tomorrow and it will be a quick turnaround and we will look to do our best. "
9:55 PM IST and 6:25 PM Local Time: Tim David finishes things off in style and brings up the first victory for Amsterdam Flames in ETPL 2026. They were coming in this game on the back of two defeats, but responded with a thumping victory by a margin of 7 wickets and with 19 balls to spare. Yuvraj Samra set the stage and David-Edwards pair got the job done.
Glasgow Cosmic captain George Munsey opted to bat first after winning the toss. He stepped up to prove his surprising decision correct. Opening the batting with Jason Roy, he propelled his team to 102 in the 12th over. Munsey was the aggressor and Roy chipped in with some boundaries to bring up the century stand. Cosmic were jolted in the 12th over as Michael Bracewell got Roy's (38 off 30) number. Soon, Tim Pringle's innocuous full toss accounted for the Cosmic skipper (67 off 49 balls) and the Flames made a comeback.
