Henry Thornton | Player of the Match: "Unbelievable, I cannot believe this happened. Infact no one there could believe that. I am shocked! I cannot believe that. I thought they bowled well and created problems for us throughout the innings. We batted just well to hang in there and put in a competitive score. As I was asked to bowl, Lynny (Chris Lynn) asked me, how many slips do I want to have? I replied anything. He said that 2,3 or 4 slips! I was like, ahh. It is always great to have Peter Siddle and Chris Lynn beside you in a match. It was an unbelievable catch by Matt Short. We would thought that a total of around 150 would have been great, but (laughs) this was enough. Real cannot believe that!! A dream spell for me, and I would retire after such a game. It is an once in a lifetime match."

Earlier, Strikers won the toss and opted to bat first. They lost three early wickets and were just 32 runs in 5.4 overs. From there Chris Lynn and Colin de Grandhomee stitched a 66 runs partnership to stabilize the ship.
After the partnership ended, Strikers faced another collapse, losing 6 wickets for just 41 runs. In the end, the Strikers finished with 139 runs losing 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Chris Lynn was the highest run scorer for the Strikers with 36 runs off 27 deliveries. Fazalhaq Farooqi was the pick of the bowlers as he got 3 wickets in his four overs conceding just 20 runs.

Humiliation for Thunder, utter humiliation!!! Back of a length on the stumps. Doggett backs away and punches it aerially and straight into the hands of the man at backward point!
