Sourya: So that's it from here as another breathtaking BBL fixture comes to an end. The playoffs are almost upon us and we hope you will be joining us for al the exciting action coming up. So that's it from me, Sourya Chowdhury, and my fellow commentators Arjun Bhalla and Karthik Iyer. Have a good day.
Sourya: Peter Siddle was rightly named the man of the match for his miserly spell. The Strikers have leapfrogged the Thunder to third with the latter slipping to fourth. They meet again tomorrow night at the Adelaide Oval with a spot in the playoffs on the line.
In a typical low-scoring thriller, the Strikers, who won the toss and elected to bat first, got healthy contributions from Jake Weatherald, Phil Salt and Travis Head, who all got into their 30s, but didn't really make it big. A cameo from Ryan Gibson helped them get to 159, but tight bowling had ensured that they still fell short of a par total. It didn't matter in the end though, as they out-bowled their Sydney counterparts.
Sourya: Nesser (2/17) and the old warhorse Peter Siddle (2/22), who got the in-form Hales out with a beauty that straightened. Head and O'Connor got a wicket each, as well.
Sourya: The Thunder will have booked their spot in the finals had they got over the line today and seemed set to reach the target of 160 at the midway point with Usman Khawaja (36) and Callum Ferguson going steady after the loss of Hales early. However, Michael Nesser got both of them out in the 10th over and engendered a collapse in the Thunder ranks from which they could not fully recover. From 1-17 they were reeling at 5/88, but a late charge Cutting, Ross and McAndrew took it to the final over. But the class of the bowlers was enough to take the Strikers home.
Sourya: So another classic BBL humdinger has come to an end here at the Adelaide Oval and the Strikers have gallantly and intelligently defended their below-par score of 159/6 to defeat the high-flying Thunder by six runs to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Arjun: What an exhibition for the game that we all love. What a T20 game. We have witnessed so many turns and rounds in this game. The momentum got shifted so many times and IN THE END, the Strikers wins this game just by SIX RUNS.

19.6 Wes Agar to Ben Cutting
4lb Four leg-byes as the full delivery on the leg-side takes a deflection off Ben Cutting's pads and runs away to the fence. Strikers won't mind it as Agar managed to keep his feet behind the line. So, that is it, Strikers wrap up a six-run victory.
19.5 Wes Agar to Ben Cutting
4 Full toss, Cutting is off his feet but he still manages to smash it towards point for a boundary. 11 required off the last ball
