St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will be back here on 2nd September to play the Barbados Tridents while Antigua & Barbuda Falcons will face Trinbago Knight Riders in Tarouba on 3rd September. Tomorrow, it will be Trinbago Knight Riders taking on Guyana Amazon Warriors at Port of Spain in a clash of the heavyweights. Do join us for what should be an exciting fixture.

07:05 AM IST, 09:35 PM Local Time: The umpires are having a chat with the captains here. The inevitable has happened here. The match has been called off. Not a surprise given how it has been raining. At least the fans are still enjoying on the grass banks to some music. It is still particularly a bad result for the home side, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots who are at the bottom of the points table and needed a win badly. As far as the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons are concerned, they are in a far better position and will go to the top of the points table with his shared point.

6:55 AM IST, 9:05 PM Local Time: It continues to pour down heavily. However, that does not stop the crowd from dancing around to the music being played by the DJ. The people in the Caribbean are simply amazing. They would love some cricket, but despite that not happening, they are doing everything possible to keep themselves entertained. Coming back to the cricket, we can expect a call off anytime soon.

06:32 AM IST, 08:52 PM Local Time: The latest that a 5-over per side game can start is at 10:11 PM Local Time. So, we have already lost quite a few overs by now. It is raining really heavily so chances of any cricket seem bleak. Even if the rain miraculously stops, the ground staff will need at least 30 minutes to do the clearing work. Not great signs.

6:20 AM IST, 8:50 PM Local Time: Uh oh! The drizzle is back. Mind you, it is very light, but till it does not stop, we cannot get even close to having any cricket played. The ground staff have not left the ground but surely have abruptly stopped their work. Just as I type, the intensity of the rain has increased and most of the ground staff are off the field now. The remaining 2-3 individuals have their umbrellas up.

6:13 AM IST, 8:43 PM Local Time: The ground staff are out in the middle and have started the process of removing the water from the covers. The super-sopper can be seen running across the outfield as well.

6:04 AM IST, 8:34 PM Local Time: The rain seems to have come to a halt. However, there is absolutely no activity happening on the ground. The ground staff could well be expecting more showers. We have already lost 3 overs per side by now.

5:47 AM IST, 8:17 PM Local Time: As expected, the rain is back. It is not coming down heavily, but enough to keep us far away from live action. The ground staff have vacated the field and there is no action at the moment.

5:30 AM IST, 8 PM Local Time: We had a 60-minute buffer time before we started losing overs. Well, that is over. So, from now on, the delay will be officially monitored, and we will start losing overs rapidly. 1 over shall be lost every 9 minutes. The covers are still in place, and there is a word that the ground staff is expecting another burst of rain.
