Siddhesh Lad (MSC Maratha Royals Captain): (On his shoulder injury)"Yeah, it had popped out. But we had our emergency doctors there, and it went back in. Hopefully, I'll do the MRI tomorrow and get to know exactly what it is.
(On winning back-to-back titles) Obviously, winning the first MPL was special for us. But winning the second one was not easy. It was very difficult. Credit to everyone - the players, support staff, and our fans. Everyone supported us. We had the belief that this was a champion side. We didn't want to carry the baggage of being defending champions. What we wanted to do was go out, execute our plans, and express ourselves.
(On when the belief started growing during the tournament) We had our ups and downs. But the belief was always there because we had quality in the side. When Kushal took responsibility and performed in almost every game, it motivated all the youngsters in the dressing room. I feel the preparations were great. Champions don't become champions on the final day. You have to have that mindset from the first day of preparation. And I feel we had that mindset.
(On whether this title is sweeter than the first one) Last year was special. But winning this year is unbelievable. There are no words to express it. Being consecutive champions is something special. It will take some time to sink in. But I will enjoy it together with everyone."

Shivam Dube (Arcs Andheri Captain): "(From finishing at the bottom last season to runners up) Yeah, definitely. You're absolutely right. Last year we finished last, and this year we've reached the final and fell just eight runs short. So I'm very positive about my team. The management and all the players were amazing throughout the tournament. I'm really proud of them. This is the nature of the game and the format β sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
(On the tournament) All the credit goes to the MCA because they've organized this tournament brilliantly. As players, we all know that Mumbai cricket is known for its competitive attitude and fighting spirit, and I think this tournament showcased exactly that. The opposition also played really well. In the end, I think it came down to a little bit of luck as well.
(Message to youngsters) Definitely, as a senior player, I've always encouraged the younger boys to step up and chase their dreams β whether that's playing for India or making it to the IPL. This tournament has given them a great platform to showcase their abilities. Across all the teams, there were quality players who displayed excellent character and talent. I definitely think we'll see some of these players go on to play in the IPL."

(On his team's failure to qualify despite his personal success) Our goal was obviously to qualify for the knockouts and hopefully win the trophy. So we'll try to come back next year. Hopefully, my teammates will be here to cheer for us."
