T20 franchise leagues have marked a new era of cricket from the late 2000s, and over the years we have seen teams dominate, going one step further than all others. Perth Scorchers recently raised the bar by winning their sixth BBL title, surpassing IPL giants CSK and Mumbai Indians for most titles won in a single T20 league.

Across the globe, T20 franchises have built dynasties through skill, depth, and big-match temperament. From the IPL to the BBL and other domestic leagues, certain teams consistently rise to the occasion. Let’s take a look at the franchises that have won the most trophies in a single T20 league. 

2 titles - MI New York, Mumbai Indians and CSK

MI New York have dominated Major League Cricket by winning two of its three editions, quickly establishing themselves as the most successful franchise in the cricket’s young expanding landscape in the USA.

Mumbai Indians and CSK are in the mix first with two titles each in the Champions League T20. With the tournament’s last edition played in 2014, both franchises remain among the most successful teams in this tournament’s history.

3 titles - Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, Oval Invincibles and Sunrisers Eastern Cape

Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are the joint most successful teams in the PSL with three titles each. Islamabad’s ability to win knockouts match Lahore’s strong player development, settled core, keeping both teams dominant in Pakistan’s T20 league.

Oval Invincibles have won the last three editions of the men’s Hundred, becoming another franchise leading their league with three titles. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Eastern Cape continued their dominance in SA20, lifting their third title in four seasons on Sunday.

4 titles - Comila Victorians and Jaffna Kings

Comilla Victorians are the most successful team in the BPL, winning the title four times. Their ability to peak in knockout matches and deliver under pressure has helped them dominate the BPL over the gears and remain a constant force in Bangladesh’s T20 circuit.

Meanwhile, Jaffna Kings have enjoyed unmatched success in Sri Lanka’s LPL, winning four of the tournament’s first five editions. Their dominance, smart squad building, and big-match temperament have made them the benchmark franchise in Sri Lankan T20 cricket.

5 titles - Mumbai Indians, CSK and Trinbago Knight Riders

Mumbai Indians and CSK are the two most successful franchises in the IPL, the biggest T20 league in the world. Both teams have dominated for 18 years, lifting the title five times each and shaping modern franchise cricket.

Trinbago Knight Riders, on the other hand, have ruled the Caribbean Premier League like no other, winning five titles with their most recent triumph in 2025. Their dominance in the CPL, combined with Mumbai Indians and CSK’s success in the IPL, highlights the power of strong, consistent T20 franchises worldwide.

6 titles - Perth Scorchers

The Perth Scorchers are the most successful BBL team, winning six titles in 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17, 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2025-26. Their consistency and strong performances make them one of the most dominant T20 sides.

The Perth based team has built a dynasty, winning season after season and setting new benchmarks in T20 cricket. Their recent win also puts them ahead of IPL giants CSK and Mumbai Indians, giving them the most trophies in a single T20 franchise league.
