On Thursday, the ICC announced the venues for the upcoming marquee event, the ODI World Cup 2027, set to be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
The grand event will be hosted across 12 venues in eight South African cities, three in Zimbabwe, and Namibia’s capital, Windhoek.
For this World Cup, the Jay Shah-led apex board have introduced a special format, where the lowest-seeded teams will feature before the Group Stage and Super 7 series, followed by the knockouts.
Although the venues for India's matches have yet to be announced, in this article, we will analyse how Team India has performed at the Queen’s Sports Club, Bulawayo in ODIs.

India’s record in Bulawayo shows that the former Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been their best batter at the venue in the 50-over format with 279 runs in three innings at a brilliant average of 279, as he has been dismissed just once at the Queen’s Sports Club. The Indian opener has slammed two centuries and a half-century at the venue.
Rohit is followed by Sachin Tendulkar (259 runs), Sourav Ganguly (230) and Rahul Dravid (145 runs) on the list of highest ODI scorers at Bulawayo among Indians.
Moreover, the record in Bulawayo reveals that the leggie Amit Mishra has been India's most successful bowler at the Queen’s Sports Club with 10 wickets in four innings. The next on the list are Ajit Agarkar and Ravindra Jadeja, with seven and six wickets, respectively.
What happened when India last played a match at Queen’s Sports Club?
It has been over a decade, 13 years to be precise, since the last time India played at the Queen’s Sports Club, Bulawayo.
The last time the Men in Blue played at the venue, Virat Kohli was the stand-in captain, alongside the stars-in-making, i.e. Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane, Mohammed Shami, and Shikhar Dhawan.
It was the final match of the IND vs ZIM ODI series; India bowled first, and the young troops showcased their mettle against the Chevrons. Amit Mishra was the show-stopper in the first innings, as he bagged a six-wicket haul, as Zimbabwe were toppled for 163 runs, despite Sean Williams' 65-ball 51.
Chasing it down, Ajinkya Rahane scored a clinical half-century, while Shikhar Dhawan and Ravindra Jadeja scored vital 40-odd runs, respectively. As a result, India hunted down the target with 16 overs to spare.
