India and USA are set to collide in match 3 of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on February 7 at 7 pm (IST).

After facing each other once in 2024, the teams are yet again grouped in Group A, alongside Pakistan, Namibia and the Netherlands. The last time these two teams played a T20I was in New York, when India chased 111 runs by 7 wickets on a low-scoring track. Arshdeep Singh picked 4/9 (4), and Suryakumar Yadav got 50* (49) in that game.

This Group A match will be the opening fixture of the tournament for both teams, with India aiming to defend their title at home under Suryakumar Yadav.

Leading up to the T20 mega event, India defeated South Africa in their warm-up match by 30 runs after putting 240 on the board. In addition to the warm-up game, India also played and won a five-match T20I series each against New Zealand, South Africa and Australia over the past couple of months.

As of now, the whole Indian team looks in a great rhythm and are the tournament favourites.

On the other hand, Monank Patel will once again be leading the USA in the competition after reaching the Super 8 stage in their tournament debut in 2024.
