The IPL 2026 league stage is over, and four top sides have qualified for the playoffs, with RCB, GT, SRH, and RRH reaching the next stage of the tournament. As things stand, RCB and GT, the teams that ended the league stage in the top two, will take part in Qualifier 1 of the IPL on Tuesday evening.

Both sides won 9 games, and lost 5, and finished with 18 points in the table. However, RCB had a better net run-rate, and as a result, the defending champions finished at the top. The Titans led by Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler have been outstanding with the bat, and the trio will once again be the key players in Qualifier 1.

Ahead of the riveting RCB Vs GT contest, we take a look at Gujarat Titans' record in IPL Qualifier 1.

IPL 2022 Qualifier 1: David Miller steals the show in monumental win vs RR

In their inaugural IPL season (2022), the Gujarat Titans battled against the hot favourites, the Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The Royals batted first, and Jos Buttler punished the Gujarat bowlers as he hammered a quickfire 89 off 56, and alongside him, Sanju Samson scored a crucial 47 off 26 as RR reached 188/6 in their 20 overs.

In reply, GT struggled to chase down the total before David Miller exploded. The South African batter tore down the RR attack, and smashed an unbeaten 68 off 38 balls to help GT chase down the total, and help them reach the finals.

IPL 2023 Qualifier 1: CSK's Gaikwad blows away the Titans

GT and CSK collided in Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2023, and it was the Ruturaj Gaikwad show that stole the show in Chennai. Batting first, the CSK opener smacked 60 off 44 balls, and added 87 runs for the first wicket alongside Devon Conway.

The Super Kings managed to score 172/7 in their 20 overs, and GT fac ed trouble scoring it. None of their batters scored big as the side fumbled for just 157 and lost the contest. Rashid Khan played a cameo towards the end, but that was not enough as the Gujarat Titans crumbled.

However, the team defeated Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 to set yet another date with CSK in the finals. The Titans once again lost to CSK, but this time at home in a riveting all-time classic finale.

GT overall records in Qualifier 1 in IPL history

Conclusion by Anurag

For the third time in five years, the Gujarat Titans have finished in the top two of the points table, and they’ll once again take part in Qualifier 1 of the IPL. As history suggests, GT have a mixed record in the Qualifiers.

The side defeated the Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2022, but a year later, they crumbled in front of the Chennai Super Kings to hold a 1 win, 1 loss record.
