7:52 PM IST, Local Time: India-A were too strong for the Namibian side. They register a victory by a massive margin of 130 runs. Namibia are all out for 67 in 12.1 overs.
Batting first, the Indian innings was built around a fluent 69 by Riyan Parag, supported by Naman Dhir’s 39 and useful late contributions from the lower order, enabling the hosts to set Namibia a daunting target of 198 runs.
In reply, Namibia endured a disastrous start as they lost two wickets in the first over itself. They then collapsed to 29/6 inside the powerplay. The Namibian specialist batters were unable to handle the India-A pacers. The trio of Gurjapneet Singh (2/6), Mayank Yadav (2/17) and Ashok Sharma (2/8) were very quick and too hot to handle for the inexperienced Namibian players.
In the end, Namibia further collapsed to 40/8 and then were all out for 67 in 12.1 overs. Dylan Leicher was the highest scorer with 22 off 20 balls. Seven of the Namibian batters were dismissed for a single-digit score. Out of seven, three of them were dismissed for a duck.
Apart from the India-A pace trio, leggie Vipraj Nigam also picked up two scalps. Ravi Bishnoi picked up a wicket on the first ball of his spell to close out the final warm-up fixture before the T20 World Cup 2026.
Namibia won their first warm-up match against Scotland by six runs. However, this heavy loss will definitely affect their morale before the start of the T20 World Cup.
W WICKETTT!!! Done and dusted! Namibia have been folded in 12.1 overs only! Full ball outside off stump, googly! Myburgh had no clue about that as he looked to fend it off the backfoot. Gets an inside edge back on to the stumps. The timber gets rattled and India A are daunting winners today! The beat Namibia by a thundering 130 runs!
After 12, Namibia are 67/9. Ravi Bishnoi introduced into the attack.
