So, that brings us to the end of our coverage of this thrilling encounter between the Maharashtra Tycoons and the Dubai Royals. With this victory, the Dubai Royals march into the semifinals, and we now have our final four — the Rajasthan Lions, Delhi Warriors, Pune Panthers, and the Dubai Royals— who will battle it out in the two semifinals tomorrow.
For now, this is me, Hiren Kumar, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Utsav and our scorer Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Good night, cheers, and do join us tomorrow for the business end of the tournament!
Shikhar Dhawan (Legend of the match & Dubai Royals Skipper): "I really enjoyed being on the ground. Had great fun, dew played a great factor, made it easier than the first innings. The start we gave to the team, felt very good.
I was very surprised, but maybe they thought that like the last game that they can put a big total that can put pressure on us and this time we soaked the pressure nicely.
I loved batting again after a while. Samit and I have been playing really well. Ambati Rayudu and actually everyone is playing well. So, really nice that we are peaking at the right time and we are really excited for the semi final.
Absolutely, I have to take revenge from the last game and it is always fun to play against him and we are charged up.
I really like Goan life, went on a bike ride, walking on the beach, enjoying the Goan curries and enjoy keeping a moustache as well, so yeah, enjoying life. God has been very very kind."

Welcome to the post match presentations.
Carlos Brathwaite (Maharashtra Tycoons Captain): "It wasn't our best performance. I feel we were much better in the previous games but just couldn't find a way to go over the line.
Where else will you see Alastair Cook and Chris Gayle open the innings, polar opposites. So, really happy to be a part of the legends setup for the first time.
My body is hurting so probably not. But I do enjoyed it. The competitive juice has come back. You start to train and get your body ready and I don't think we will ever get back to the youth days. It was good to compete again. So, I may continue, I am enjoying this side of game, the speed of play is good, the camaraderie is good but I do miss being on the commentary side.
It was a privilege to rub shoulders and lead, Shaun Marsh, Chris Gayle again, Peter Siddle, Cook. I have said that I love commentary as well, but it was great to lead them and also compete against the likes of Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo."
10:55 PM IST & Local Time | ALL OVER! The Dubai Royals have defeated the Maharashtra Tycoons by 7 wickets with almost four overs to spare, sealing their place in the semifinals. Here is how this virtual quarter final panned out.
Opting to bat first, the Tycoons endured a shaky start after losing Cook early. Chris Gayle, too, struggled to find rhythm at the other end. It was Asghar Afghan who turned things around with a brilliant 60 off just 34 balls, completely shifting the momentum of the innings. After his departure, Shaun Marsh anchored the middle order superbly, smashing 66 off 43 to provide a strong finish for his side.
With the ball, the Royals began well but leaked runs in the death overs. Parvez Rasool and Samit Patel stood out, picking up a wicket each.
In reply, chasing 175, the Royals got off to a brilliant start. Captain Shikhar Dhawan led from the front, carrying his bat through the innings and playing a match-winning knock of 99* — agonizingly missing out on a century. He was well supported by Samit Patel and Rishi Dhawan, who chipped in with 24 and 21 respectively.
With the ball, the Tycoons’ bowlers looked lackluster and conceded too many runs. Parveen Gupta and Rahul Sharma were the only wicket-takers for them, claiming one wicket each.
The Dubai Royals march into the top four and the semifinals, while the Maharashtra Tycoons’ campaign comes to an end. Stay tuned for the presentations.

6 SIXXX! With this, Dubai Royals have qualified to the playoffs and Skipper Shikhar Dhawan has taken the side home but has fallen one shy of what was a well deserved century. Short ball outside off. Dhawan leaped out and pulled it away over deep square leg for a maximum. Royals have won the match by 7 wickets and 25 balls to spare and from the bottom spot in the points table, they have leaped over the Tycoons to qualify for the top 4 spots.
