So, that’s all from this game between the Delhi Warriors and the Gurugram Thunders. The Warriors remain unbeaten, while the Thunders bow out of the tournament.

For now, this is me, Hiren Kumar, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Utsav and scorer Ghanandra Singh Thakur.

Cheers, and good night! 🏏✨
Isuru Udana (Delhi Warriors Captain): "Very happy with the win. The whole team is contributing and that is a good sign for us. The new guys who came in also did very well for us. It was good to restrict them to 170-odd and we bowled well in the last 6 overs. Today, we did not have Nadeem and Bhaji bhai but we still did well. Thank you."
Sheldon Jackson (Legend of the Match) :" The wicket was definitely great to bat on and the dew helped us. We knew we had to build partnerships and take it deep. Everyone in the dressing room was calm and the messages were coming.

Before coming to the tournament, I prepared a little bit, because of the quality of the players. So, if you want to play well, you have to prepare.

I love playing with everyone, but playing with Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan means a lot, because they have backed me a lot.

Welcome to the post match presentations.
Thisara Perera (Gurugram Thunders Captain): "Actually, this is not our way to finish. With the bunch of boys we have, we should have finished 3 or 2 so it is really disappointing.

After a long time, we stuck together. Stuart Broad and I got to play each other after a long time, and he still bowls the way he did in the playing days. So, we all stayed together and we were like a family.

I need some water, as I am cramping up because of the heat.

This is our second night game, when we played our first night game, I didn't see this much dew. In a must win game, scoreboard pressure is a thing, so we had to bat first and put runs on the board.

Well this is not the end of the world, we will come back next year and do better."
10:59 PM IST & Local Time | The Delhi Warriors continue their unbeaten run in the tournament with a solid four-wicket victory over the Gurugram Thunders, knocking the Thunders out of the competition. So, here is how the game panned out.

Opting to bat first, the Thunders got off to a dream start, courtesy of a commanding 83-run opening partnership. Jermaine Blackwood set the tone with a brisk 51 off 30 balls, while Cheteshwar Pujara anchored the innings superbly with a composed 58 off 43 deliveries. However, despite the strong platform, the Thunders failed to capitalise in the latter stages and finished on 172/6 at the end of 20 overs. The lack of contribution from the lower order proved costly. Credit must go to the Warriors’ bowlers, who pulled things back brilliantly after a loose start—Pawan Negi and Diwesh Pathania were the standout performers, picking up two wickets apiece.

In reply, the Warriors found themselves in deep trouble early on, reeling at 61/5. Just when the game seemed to be slipping away, Sheldon Jackson produced a match-winning knock, holding the innings together with an unbeaten 59 off 38 balls. He found excellent support from Seekkuge Prasanna, who came in lower down the order and played a sensational cameo, smashing an unbeaten 36 off just 14 deliveries to seal the chase.

The Thunders’ bowlers had started strongly, with Stuart Broad striking twice in the powerplay. Skipper Thisara Perera also impressed during the middle overs, claiming two wickets. However, their bowling lacked penetration at the death, allowing the Warriors to finish the game with composure.

With this defeat, the Gurugram Thunders bow out of the tournament, while the Delhi Warriors march on, unbeaten and full of confidence.

Hang around for the post match presentations.
