The Pune Panthers move to the playoffs with this exciting defence of a low total. That's it from our coverage of the game. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Utsav Chandak and scorer Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Kieron Pollard (Pune Panthers Captain): "Happy for the guys. Winning makes everything different. The way that they defended was fantastic. We didn't put enough runs on the board.
Most important thing for us was watching the table. If we lose this game, we need to take it all the way down. My thing was just stay in the game. Let's stay wicket to wicket and see what happens. The spinners gave us the momentum. Even in the last 4 overs with 26 required, just stuck with it and in the end we crept over the line.
Martin batted really well. The way the left arm spinner bowled was outstanding. All in all a total team effort and then Mr. Champion coming in to pick up the wickets and the celebration."
Dwayne Bravo (Legend of the Match): "Yeah, it was a really really good game. I think we fell short with the bat about 20-25 runs. But we are experienced enough to defend totals like these.
The mindset was to control the powerplay. When you are defending a low total, you don't want them to have a 50-60 runs powerplay and it helped that they kept losing wickets in the middle overs.
It would have been a bit disappointing to leave the qualification in the hands of other people. There is only one champion and I have proved him wrong the man wearing number 55, so I need a public apology from Mr. Kieron Pollard. (laughs)"

Time for post match presentation.
Carlos Brathwaite (Maharashtra Tycoons Captain): "Cook hit a couple of sixes, that was the main takeaway for me. Obviously, Bravo is a world class bowler and Mishra as well, the back to back wickets took the game away from us.
The powerplay remained the same. We didn't have the best powerplay but it was not the worst either. We had to be better in the middle overs and that is something we need to think about before coming to play tomorrow.
We have to win the game tomorrow and we can still qualify. So, that is how the tournament is like, you win tomorrow and then you win two more games and you are through."
6 PM IST, Local Time: A thriller to begin the double-header Sunday as Pune Panthers defend 142 by dismissing the Maharashtra Tycoons for 130 in 18.5 overs to move into the semifinals of the World Legends Pro T20 2026!
Dwayne Bravo picked up 4/40 taking wickets at a crucial juncture in the death overs, finished his spell with 2 in 2 balls. Amit Mishra wreaked havoc in the middle overs with 3/20 and Abhishek Sakuja cleaned up Dale Steyn for a golden duck to seal the win with the Panthers defending the lowest total of the season.
The Tycoons won the toss and elected to bowl first. Martin Guptill starred with the bat again for the Panthers hitting 62 in 46 balls. The next best score was Robin Uthappa's 19 with the batters failing to build partnerships. Rahul Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with 2/22.
In response, Alastair Cook led the charge with 39 off 33 balls but the rest of the top and middle order failed to contribute. Shaun Marsh at number 5 scored 42 in 28 balls and was dismissed by Mishra off his final delivery. Ayaan Khan surviving a LBW shout thanks to a review fought till the end with an unbeaten 27 in 26 balls.
Required rate was catchable with 14 needed in the final 2 overs after Bravo's blockbuster 18th over comprised of 6 runs and 2 wickets. Sakuja started with 3 dots, got Ayaan off strike on the 4th and then cleaned up Steyn with the 5th delivery.
