That's it from our coverage of match number 10 in the World Legends Pro T20 2026! Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Mohammad Anab and scorer Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Eoin Morgan (Legend of the Match and Rajasthan Lions Captain): "I was swinging like a rusty gate in the first few games but something happened today where I found the middle of the bat and it's nice to be able to contribute. The guys so far have been brilliant in each and every game. A lot of guys have contributed with the ball and back down the order. Another good day with a win under our belt which is great. So building momentum nicely.

The pitch played well. When you have one side shorter than the other then it gets difficult for the bowlers. It is a good batting wicket.

Naman Ojha at the top of the order really set the tone in every other game apart from today. JP Duminy with the bat and ball in each and every game. Awana coming in today for his first game of the tournament with the ball did really well. Bipul Sharma, Jakati, JK. Everybody is contributing throughout the course of the game. Pretty much everybody contributed which helps massively. You're not reliant on one player.

With a day off tomorrow, hopefully relax, get around Goa and see what it has to offer and then comeback in 2 days time and continue the momentum and confidence that we've had so far in the tournament to the later stages."

Time for post-match presentations...
Thisara Perera (Gurugram Thunders Captain): "Actually, you know, as a team, we didn’t execute our bowling plans — that’s the main thing. So, by the way, we have to take some positives as well. Chirag Gandhi again played really well. But at the end of the day, we are on the losing side. That’s a sad way.

(On the surface)
Actually, if you see the pitch, it’s not a slow one, actually. It’s a good track to play on. Because of that, by the way, we gave 15–20 runs extra. That’s why I said we didn’t execute our bowling plans. So anyway, we have to wait till tomorrow because we have another game. So it’s okay — it happens in cricket.

(On the final league game) Actually, you know, as a team, we are really enjoying at the moment. Everyone knows we are losing, but, you know, at the end of the day, after a long time, we sit together. So don’t worry about the winning or losing side — that’s happening in cricket every time. I just want to focus on our next game."
5:48 PM IST, Local Time: The Rajasthan Lions win their 3rd match of the season defeating the Gurugram Thunders by 27 runs! This win ensures Rajasthan Lions make it to the playoffs!

Batting first, the Lions added 208/4 in 20 overs in what was a brilliant combined effort from the batting order. Skipper Eoin Morgan led from the front opening the innings and scoring 78 in 38 balls with 6 fours and as many sixes.

Angelo Perera struck 42 in 36 balls, Callum Ferguson smashed 39 in 24 and Suresh Raina hit an unbeaten 27 off 12 deliveries to finish the innings. Thunders captain Thisara Perera bowled his 4 overs for 1/34, Saurin Thakar was economic in his 0/27.

The Lions were equally well with the ball as well and kept things tight throughout the second innings. Only Chirag J Gandhi looked in good nick hammering 54 in 27 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes but played a bat shot and was cleaned up by Shadab Jakati.

Fair Ahmed (22 off 10) and Thisara Perera (11 off 6) got off to starts but failed to go big. Ross Taylor (28 off 23) and Colin de Grandhomme (32* off 21) added 54 runs for the 7th wicket but the required rate kept creeping up and GT could only manage 181/7 in the end.

Anureet Singh (0/29) was wicketless but kept things tight in the powerplay. Shadab Jakati picked up 2/30 in his 4 overs, Jesal Karia bowled 3 overs and picked up a wicket to become the leading wicket taker this tournament.

With this victory Rajasthan Lions have ensured they will finish the league stage in the top 4 and move into the playoffs.
