A magnificent last ball thriller at Baroda! Sophie Devine uses her experience to the optimum helping Gujarat Giants move in a stronger position at the points table. A lot to rue for Delhi Capitals as they go down in a another close encounter.
That's it from our coverage from tonight. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide, scorer Paras Yadav and statistician Aman. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Sophie Devine (Player of the Match): "[on defending the final over] I got absolutely pumped when the pressure got on us. It was brave of Ash to bowl the penultimate over by an off spinner with the shorter boundary. I kept things calm and tried to stick to the plans as much as possible.
[how to assess the conditions and deliver] It's really important as an overseas player to leave your ego at the door and be okay to ask for help. Asking the locals how they play because they have more experience of these conditions than us and then making those tweaks and adapt your game to those conditions.
Everyone's gonna be slightly different. I will try less and less as the tournament progresses. It's a case of managing mind and body. I want to be 100% when the games come, that's what matters.
[on the youngsters] It's been awesome sharing the change room with the whole team. Anushka was incredible with the bat. It's a real team effort and that's what makes it special. Very happy change room tonight."

Ashleigh Gardner (Gujarat Giants Captain): "It has been a roller coaster. We have obviously entertained the fans at the venue and on TV. My right was going to the roof through that last over.
[on the team total] The wickets have got progressively better. Yesterday 200 were almost chased down and tonight it was almost chased down as well. Between 170-180 was par as well. We bowled well until the 17th over then let them back in the game.
For our bowlers we need to keep it simple. We need to keep the stumps in play as long as possible. Finding the right lengths for change ups are important. It was a spinner friendly wicket but Sophie was really pivotal throughout her spell making change in pace and keeping the stumps in play as well.
We have been on the winning side and losing side as well during close games. We need to be consistent. We need to win that one game to be confident in the playoffs. We play again in a couple of times. We need to switch the focus to Mumbai, we don't have a great record against them."
Sophie Devine (401) becomes only the second player to take 400+ wickets in women's T20s, after Amelia Kerr (414).

Anushka Sharma (Gujarat Giants): β(How she's feeling?) To be honest, Iβm out of words. It was a nail-biting finish yet against Delhi. The credit goes to Sophie and to the fielders that took the catches.
Actually, at the time when they were four or five wickets down, we thought we had the match in our hands. The way Niki batted, she took the game away from our hands. But happy to finish on the winning side.
(On her knock) The best is yet to come. The wicket was pretty good to bat on. I enjoyed the outing. But I didnβt do well from my side. I could have done better.
(On her next step) Actually, not specifically in my mind. I will just play with my same intent and bat according to that.
(How is her wrist?) Now, it is okay. There was some pain at that time but it is okay now.β
Jemimah Rodrigues (Delhi Capitals Women Captain): β(Emotions after the match) Firstly, the way Sneh Rana and Niki played, I have to give it to them. It was special. Such things happen but it would have been nice had we finished on the right side of the finishing line.
(On whether they had the belief of chasing down the total) As long as we knew our batters were in, we had the hope and we kept believing. They kept believing and kept us in the hunt. Niki played brilliantly I think they were the ones that kept us going. We didnβt win it today but the way they played today was brilliant.
(On losing quick wickets in the middle phase) I just feel we had done really well with the ball. Last few overs, we gave some runs. 10-15 runs extra. We needed partnerships from all the top order batters. To see the way those two batted, it was really special.
(On their next game) That game is going to be important. It will be important for us to regroup. We are still in the tournament and we will keep fighting."
