One can't help but feel that there has been a palpable shift in momentum mid-season. Undefeated before today, RCB succumbed to their lowest ever score in the WPL and were handed a thrashing. Meanwhile, DC seem to be peaking at the right time.
Although, there is still a long way to go in this tournament. Hence, drawing any conclusions will be premature. Which direction will the rollercoaster head next? We will find out together.
For now, it is time for the troika of Darpan Tikiya, Ajay Pal Singh and Zeeshan Naiyer to sign off. Keep following Crex for more cricketing action from around the world. Sayonara!
Marizanne Kapp (Player of the Match): "I don't feel like it has been going that well. Started a bit slow this season, but feels like I have been getting some rhythm with both bat and ball. I just love bowling in the powerplay. That is something I have been doing in this league because I enjoy the challenge.
I was so annoyed with the no-ball (bowled in the 2nd over). I would have been pretty miffed if Smriti went on to score big. But fortunately it did not cost us.
It has not been not nice to bowl on. I feel like it swung a bit more in the past. Feel like we are getting a bit of momentum. Hopefully, we can keep getting better."

Jemimah Rodrigues (Delhi Capitals Women captain): "Credit goes to the team. One thing that the team has kept doing is kept believing and kept executing. It did feel like a day when everything went to plan. We were under pressure when Smriti was going. But then, Minnu did well to produce the wicket and then, Kappy being Kappy.Minnu was always going to come on regardless of the timeout. I wanted her to bowl at the lefty.
Today's game was crucial because RCB are in a good form. It speaks a lot about the character of the girls. A champion team knows how to pick themselves up after a fall. We will keep executing and hopefully things fall in place.
(On the experience of captaincy) I have not gotten whit hair so far (giggles) but I am learning from my mistakes. Last time we played RCB, I kept Kappy for the last. Today, I brought her early because I wanted the wicket. So, if you keep on learning, you can never make mistakes."

Laura Wolvaardt: Yeah, very nice. We had a couple of losses at the start of the tournament. So, nice to be hitting our stride. Hopefully, we gain momentum heading into the tournament.
[On Jemimah's leadership] I think she was excellent today. Bringing Kappy on for another over and getting that wicket. She knows how to connect to people and talk to people, she has been excellent with that.
[On Pitch] Definitely. Looking at their innings, wickets fell while playing across the line. Helps when you are chasing only 100. I took it as a 50-over game and did the job.
[On catching] Yeah, it is something I wanted to get better at. My percentage has gone up a bit as well. I am working hard on it, as a specialist batter, you get more time to work on stuff. I would have bowled some off-spin (when asked what she would have bowled if given a chance).
