Earlier, Punjab crafted a commanding total through a blend of patience and late aggression, finishing on an imposing 345/6 in their 50 overs. After a watchful start in the Powerplay, where they reached just 41/0, Harnoor Singh and Prabhsimran Singh laid a solid foundation by valuing their wickets and steadily building the innings. The tempo gradually lifted as the partnership crossed 100, with boundaries coming through smart placement rather than risk. Harnoor anchored the innings with a composed fifty before departing for 51, while Prabhsimran followed up with a fluent 88, ensuring Punjab had a strong platform heading into the middle overs.
The innings truly gathered momentum through Anmolpreet Singh, who contributed 70, supported by Naman Dhir. With wickets in hand, Punjab were perfectly set for a late surge, and Nehal Wadhera delivered it in style.
