Player of the Match: Aryan Juyal (150* off 140 balls)
5:08 PM IST and Local Time: Uttar Pradesh have bagged a victory over Assam by a margin of 58 runs in the VJD method and ends the year by remaining at the top of the points table. They have 16 points from 4 games, winning every game they have played so far in this season's Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Assam skipper Sumit Ghadigaonkar won the toss and elected to bat first on a surface that is conducive to batting. Pradyun Saikia and Saurav Dihingia batted well against the new ball but both of them got out in a quick succession and that reduced Assam to 39/2. Ghadigaonkar himself and Sibsankar Roy steadied the ship from there on. They took the UP spinners on and started scoring runs at will in the middle overs. Their partnership of 171 runs was instrumental for Assam to get to a good position. Sumit Ghadigaonkar scored a fantastic 101 off 86 balls hitting 12 fours and 3 sixes. He took on a full toss from Vipraj Nigam and offered an easy catch to Rizvi at mid-on. Sibsankar was going well after his skipper's dismissal but he got out for 82 off 83 balls. Assam lost their last 5 wickets in just 25 runs and were bundled out for 308. For UP, Vipraj Nigam took 4 wickets for 66 runs. Zeeshan Ansari took 3 wickets for 60 runs. Prashant Veer, Kunal Tyagi and Karan Chaudhary took a wicket each. When UP came to chase the 309-run target, they had a testing time as the Assam's new ball bowlers made the openers to face some trouble. But Abhishek Goswami and Aryan Juyal together found a way to get going and started getting the boundaries. They had a 54-run partnership before Goswami got retired hurt as he was in cramps. Aryan Juyal and Dhruv Jurel then added 36 runs in their partnership before Jurel got out for 16. Aryan Juyal was the star of the UP batting. He and Priyam Garg then carried the innings forward. They added 128 runs together. Played sensibly for the most of the time and took the aggressive route when they found it convenient. Juyal reached to his 8th List A hundred and started to pile-up the runs in a quicker fashion. Priyam Garg got out scoring 52 off 53 balls. Rinku Singh replaced Priyam Garg in the crease and he completely assassinated the Assam bowlers. Found the timing to perfection and got the power in his shots too to score an unbeaten 37 off 15 balls. Aryan Juyal scored an unbeaten 150 off 140 balls hitting 15 fours and 3 sixes. For his incredible knock, he is adjudged the player of the match. When the drizzle interrupted the match, UP were 291/2 after the 42nd over. They need 18 off the final 8 overs for victory. The drizzle intensified and the game didn't start afterwards.
For Assam, Akash Sengupta and Rahul Singh took a wicket each.

4:40 PM IST and Local Time: 18 required from 8 overs. The groundsmen are rushing in with the covers now. It is drizzling in Rajkot. UP are way ahead in the VJD method in this run chase and Assam are staring down the barrel. The drizzle is getting heavier now.
