That’s all from this contest, folks! For now, it’s me, Deepak Prakash, signing off on behalf of co-commentator Saptak Sanyal, and scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur. CHEERS!
Kushal Bhurtel (Pokhara Avengers Captain): "Yeah, I feel really happy. Throughout the tournament, the boys played really well. There were moments where the momentum shifted, and we couldn’t catch up. If we had, the scenario could have been very different.

Yeah, compared to last season, we did really well. Our fielding was good, and our batting improved too. Unfortunately, we were the only team that didn’t qualify, but hopefully we’ll bounce back next season."
Adam Rossington (POTM): "Yeah, it’s always nice to get some runs. The bowlers did well to restrict them to a low total. His first game today, he (Arjun Kumal) took his time to settle before getting going — definitely a talent to watch in the future."

It's time for the post-match presentation......
6:23 PM IST, 6:38 PM Local Time: The scorecard may suggest a tense finish, but in reality, the Pokhara Avengers dragged the game unnecessarily into the final over. They needed just 20 runs from the last five overs yet failed to hit a single boundary in the final 4.4 overs, despite having eight wickets in hand. Nonetheless, the Avengers sealed an 8-wicket win with 2 balls to spare, wrapping up their campaign on a positive note.

Earlier, opting to bat first, Chitwan Rhinos endured another difficult outing as they were restricted to 120/6 by a disciplined Pokhara Avengers attack. After choosing to bat, the Rhinos collapsed early on a slow, gripping surface, losing their top three—including Dawid Malan and Ravi Bopara—inside the first three overs to slip to 7/3. Saif Zaib and Dev Khanal attempted a recovery, adding 38 runs for the fourth wicket, but Zaib managed only 17 off 18, while Khanal struggled for fluency throughout his 34 off 41, unable to break free against tight bowling.

Kushal Malla (23 off 23) and Alpesh Ramjani (33* off 22) provided much-needed late impetus, with Ramjani striking two sixes to lift the total to 120. For Pokhara, Dhananjaya Lakshan was the standout, delivering excellent figures of 3/20, while Bipin Khatri, Rohit Chand, and Kiran Thagunna took a wicket apiece.

In reply, Arjun Kumal and Adam Rossington began cautiously, focusing on rotating strike and putting away the loose deliveries. As the innings settled, both batters shifted gears and kept the Rhinos’ bowlers under pressure.

Rossington brought up a well-constructed fifty, and the pair added 100 runs for the opening wicket before Rijan Dhakal finally trapped him for 65 to break the partnership. Kushal Bhurtel departed for just 4 runs off 10 balls, but Arjun Kumal remained unbeaten on 43 runs, along with Jason Roy (6*) and sealed the game for Avengers. Saif Zaib and Rijan Dhakal were the only bowlers to take a wicket for the Rhinos.

Stay tuned for the presentation.....

1 That's it! A bit later than expected, but the Pokhara Avengers seal an 8-wicket win with 2 balls to spare. Fuller and slower on the stumps. Kumal drives and gets the inside edge of the bat to fine leg for one.
