Lumbini skipper Rohit Paudel won the toss and sent the Pokhara Avengers to bat first on a tricky wicket. Avengers lost their first 4 wickets inside 33 runs but the thing that went in favour of them is a sensational innings from Adam Rossington. Rossington steadied the ship first and got to his fifty in 52 balls and accelerated later to score 81 runs from 63 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes. He was well-partnered by Jimmy Neesham who remained unbeaten on 51 off 32 balls hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes. Their combined effort took them to 150/5 at the end of their 20 overs.
For the Avengers, Sher Malla and Tilak Bhandari took a couple of wickets each.
Coming to chase the 151-run target, Lions lost D'Arcy Short and Sumit Maharjan cheaply. But Rohit Paudel and Niroshan Dickwella's partnership set the tone. They hit the loose deliveries on their way and respected the good balls on their way. The third wicket partnership was of 54 runs from 36 balls before Dickwella got out scoring 37 off 22 balls.
Rohit Paudel and Dilip Nath were out in the middle but the latter gifted his wicket away scoring just 10. Paudel was batting well and anchoring the innings but got out for 40 off 36 balls. But that didn't cost the Lions much as Sundeep Jora batted beautifully for his unbeaten 25 at the fag end of the innings and finished the game off with just two balls to spare.
